telling you anything is technically a spoiler, best to just let the game happen to you, but it's got a stellar soundtrack and a cameo by david bowie himself, and this game is so unlike your expectations can prepare you for. it's a hidden gem, an instant classic, and the fact that you can just buy it in 2021 and it just runs boggles the mind.
I first played this game when it was first released and loved it despite some control difficulties. However on a newer computer it is virtually impossible to play enjoyably. I lose every shooting scene as it is impossible to aim. I am now at the bridge scene and have given up after 50 attempts to shoot my way through. My cursor will not go anywhere near the enemy and it is a joke.
Surely there is some way to fix this.
"Omikron the nomad soul" is one of my favorite games. When I was a kid back in 1999, this game impressed me so much that I dreamed I was in the city of "Omikron" I love the city and its vibe. Beautiful game!
I would recommend watching a let's play or listening to the soundtrack rather than play the game itself. It can only be described as a cryptic point and clicker pretending to be an Immersive Sim. I am glad that I went through it at least once, but outside of curiosity, I would not recommend it. Within the Cageverse scale, It is definitely one of the worst from how unstable and cryptic it has been throughout my whole playthrough.
In terms of David bowie/The cure content, They both produced the soundtrack with a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks. Reeves appears as a guitarist in a fictional band with David Bowie as the singer. David also plays another character with three moments of dialogue.
If anyone does want to try the game out, I will only say good luck.
