So much promise, yet such a bad game
I decided to re-download the game and give it another spin, since it has been a few months since the pathfinder update and between bug fixes and the update, it should be better optimised and have had some of the annoyances and bugs removed. I booted up the game to find out that this was indeed still not the case, you still have to wait 10m to load a new game from an SSD, then when you spawn into the game there is a 50/50 chance that you spawn on a planet that will kill you within the first 60s, with the exception that they now actually removed the starting base, so the death within 60s is now a for sure for sure thing. After about 30 minutes of new game starts to find a planet that isn't just endless death, I did find out that the energy drain is still on every single device you can carry and it drains quickly enough that you have to seek out and grind energy for your devices as the first thing before anything else. This is when I decided to put this game in the trash pile for good. Between the poor optimisation, the horrendous load times, the weird lag spikes and the otherwise terrible grindey nature of the game, I would have to say this is a do not buy. Better games are out there at a much lower price point and without the need to grind until you turn old and gray.
