Mortal Kombat 4

While my favorite Mortal Kombat games are MKII (SNES) and MK Deception (GC), MK4 delivers where it counts for a fighting game. The graphics have aged like meh, which is expected for a game from the early 3D era (mid 1990s). The action, on the other hand, is very fast and very fluid. The basic moves for all the karacters are the same, with special attacks and kombos being what differentiates them. Of course, the special attacks and fatalities really sell MK4 as they're fun as ever. Despite its poorly aged graphics, MK4 ticks all the other boxes that make a fighting game worth owning.

Mortal Kombat 4 is an interesting game. It takes the series into the third dimension, in both graphics and gameplay, with the introduction of side-stepping. All of the animations in this game were done manually. That's nuts, as they look very smooth. I'm pleased to say that the GOG version works well on Windows 10. As for the game itself, you get a robust roster of classic, and new, characters. Dial-a-Combos and running make their return from MK3, and there's a host of new fatalities and animalities to unleash on your defeated opponent. If you love old school fighting games, get this.

The speed and fluidity of this game is still second to none, so if you get cracked out with your button press skills and combos, it's really fun. The eternal downside to this MK is that you can set it to the easiest AI difficulty, but the more competently merciless you get, it seems to, what i can only describe as "offending the AI's delicate little ego", which then causes it to kick up into some based sparring mode difficulty, which I've always hated. I wanted it easy so i could practice, not for it to take my skill level as a challenge. classic fave

Aż się zdziwiłem. W Mortal Kombat 1-3 muszę grać w małym okienku bo niezależnie od ustawionej rozdzielczości (i silnika skalowania) na pełnym erkanie (Full Screen) jest trochę pikselozy. Dopiero w nieco mniejszym oknie na moim monitorze 27" jest ładny obraz. W Mortal Kombat 4 nie mam tego problemu, tu mogę ustawić dowolną rozdzielczość i odświeżanie ekranu. Na pełnym ekranie gra prezentuje się bardzo ładnie więc polecam nawet jesli macie monitory 4K będzie dobrze.
