Wish the story and settings were more to my liking though, but this is subjective, very good metroidvania, i like the art style, very responsive commands, you can remap the keys to the mouse as i like.
Game is not soulslike, theres no stamina, so dodge and attacks are not subject to dark souls rules, parry is forgiven giving you iframes too.
All in all im having fun, bought it on sale, having finished it yet.
Moonscars is a good metroidvania, its a little disappointing about using resources - you can upgrade skills and reroll weapons and that about it. I didn't feel the need to use glands any way but lift the moon curse. Skills are another thing, i used 2 skills through all game - clone and earth pillar. Those was simply the best for me. I tried all skills, all was meh compared to these two. Same with weapons system on "heavy attack" I used one maybe two through game, rest feeled weeker. Story was nice, although i fell like I need some youtube guy to talk to me 2 h to explain all lore-wise thingis to understand it all. I didn't do 100% i didn't feel like it although i fell safisfaction about last boss, was difficult enough to pose a challenge and not to frustrate too much. Solid game.
