This game was CUSTOM made for ME!
I remember growing up in that rare time before parents became overprotective and we all rode Big Wheels crashing and then scraping the shit out of our knees and generally enjoying summer time. I also remember Saturday Night double showings of nearly every sci-fi title and horror title under the sun on USA Network and Commander USA Up All Night. One night in the summer of 1984 I seen a repeat of a movie I seen before, a cool little horror gem called "The Intruder Within". It involved the story of an oil rig and how the rig workers found eggs at the bottom of a drill site. The eggs eventually infected people and a large creature was birthed from their remains. It was from 1981 and was actually a TV horror movie of the week on ABC and CBS. The censors were not squeamish and left all the blood and deaths in a Network TV Movie of the Week. For the time it was very uncommon to see that level of gore in a Saturday or Sunday night broadcast TV movie on one of the Big 3 (ABC, CBS and NBC) networks at that time. The end of that movie IS THIS GAME and I'm overjoyed. Granted it is not similar but finally a cool and unique premise for a rogue based Creature Feature. I would love to see other games like this competently dealt with and created. Whatever flaws the game has it has one thing nailed down tight and that is it's unique premise, the 3 monsters involved and the notes left behind to fill in the gaps. This would be basically what happened after the main movie ended. Some poor guy hiding in a locker wakes up and no one but the creatures are alive at that point. Cool Premise, Cool Story and GREAT Designs for the creatures. Thank you Team JunkFish!
