Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™ Game of the Year Edition

I would rather clean my dishes than playing this boring title.

This game fails with the same thing that most developers suffer from in their game development skills. Throwing too many controls with time limits at you at once in the beginning/learning stage of the game and doing it before you can get the right mucsle memory because it will jump to something else to do, so you can't actually enjoy the game. You're too busy reading the on screen prompts to learn while action that you're missing is taking place. If you're not a world competitive level gamer, then it will take some play throughs and practices and then start over from scratch once you're comfortable to truly enjoy the game.

This is a third person action game with fluid controls and Assassin's Creed-style movement that allows Talion, the main character, to jump, climb and sprint all over Mordor. The style of the game is very cinematic, and there are camera slow downs for important moments. The combat mechanics rely on timing button presses, which becomes easier as one gets used to the methods used to defend against various enemy types. There are also some RPG elements to the game, which allow Talion to improve his overall abilities and customize his weapons to best support a player's favored combat strategies. This is an excellent action game. The sound and visual design is top notch, and it's a great way to find flow and enjoy a few hours as a magical swordfighter in the Lord of the Rings setting.

Result on black screen with audio, try various fixes for around 3 or 4 hours. Don't waste your time and money.
