Metro 2033 Redux

Fantastic gameplay and story in all three of the main metro games so far. 2033 Redux will always be a favorite.

this is one of my favorite games! if you are a fan of the stalker games, then you will like the metro series too!

One of the greatest fps of the ps3/360 era, the succesor of the Stalker games. If you never have the opportunity of play it, do it.

This game takes everything to another level. The detail is stunning and the story captivating. It's got all the action of a FPS and skill of a stealth game rolled into one. You're not just facing human enemies either, there's a wide variety of mutants to deal with as well that introduces more novelty to the combat scenarios. Also this game just has a different feel to it. You really feel like you're going through a post-nuclear-apocalyptic city with almost no hope for humanity's survival. I've never had a video game make me feel so isolated and alone before. Or had one mess with my head so much. At one point your character is separated from his travel companion, Bourbon, and has to make his way through the Dead City alone. As you go through the buildings you can hear the sounds of people moving in the rooms around you, even toilets flushing. You can hear shots as well, so I was thinking it was Bourbon getting closer, but it was the dead letting me know they are still there. Very cool, very trippy. There's also tons of hidden places to discover with caches of money (military grade ammo), ammo, and guns, as well as a whole series of notes to find throughout each chapter. The rich backstory comes in part from the novel the game is based on: Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. The voice acting is really good as well and the game is challenging. I can't really think of a weak aspect, There are a lot of commands to remember and many buttons have two funtions depending on press or hold but you get the hang of it as you play. This game rewards you for paying attention and being thorough, has a long and complex storyline with interesting characters, and has a gritty realism to it... A++ in my book

only a few hours in but i cant wait to play the rest of the series
