Medieval escapism with lots of potential
This game lets me escape into a medieval world and build a peaceful village with only a very few threats (wlves, bandits - these latter can be turned off in options by the way). There is of course some pressure to actually survive, but on normal difficulty it's not too hard. There is challenge in it, but you are not forced to restart the game over and over again. You can build your dream village without frustration. The graphics and the mood remind me a little bit of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is a huge plus in my book. If Medieval Dynasty reaches a similar level of world-building and implements some similar, artisticdecorations (frescos, etc.) then it could become my dream game. Well, there are a few things on my wishlist too to achieve that, but I hope devs will go on that route: - more wildlife and plants (birds have been announced officially alread) - more decorations (also announced already), especially objects and plants to create English cottage garden-like extravaganza - maybe bigger buildings, like churches or holds (the game shouldn't evolve into becoming a king simulator IMO, but villages could evolve into settlements one level bigger) - if there will be religious buildings and decorations then I'd also love to have pagan equivalents: statues for the Horned god and the Moon Goddess, small pagan grove as building, etc. (I'd even pay for these in a DLC separately), nothing high fantasy but something to add a little mystery to the world in a more folk lore-y way - it'd be nice to have an option to play as a strong female character in sandbox mode (a female-centric campaign would be of course also welcome, but that'd be more work and possibly a huge DLC) If you are like me and look for escapism in a medieval setting than I wholeheartedly recommend this game. And if the devs can fill the world with even more life and decorative elements than the future of this game will surely be even brighter. Thank you, devs, for making such a great game. <3
