Something impressive for the time.

This game is awesome now (one of my favorites), but something even cooler that most people don't think of is that the play fields are HUGE, and there are no load screens; not even on the PS1 version. I doubt that was easy to program back in the day, and I find it really cool. That's not the only thing this game has, though. Being designed by Shiny, you can expect a lot of humor and surrealism, as well as nonstop frenetic action...this game is what Earthworm Jim 3D SHOULD have been. Perhaps the best thing about this game is the soundtrack. It is very well orchestrated, and really gets you in the mood of the setting. I really can't say enough good things about MDK. Even though I think the sequel, MDK2, is better, that doesn't stop MDK from being one of the greatest games ever made. A fair warning to all of you; this game is brutally difficult, especially if you only save at the beginning of a level like I do.

An acid trip

No game has the art and style to match MDK, dark and sinister, killing countless foes while being fun and humorous. Gameplay ranging from desolate silence to intense action when something triggers the chaos. Puts you on the edge of your seat before you know it and can suddenly leave you confused or gobsmacked. A classic in the ranks with Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Sacrifice...

This game is fun

Unfortunately my first experience with this game was on a mac. (I hate macs) but this game was one of the few things on a mac i could stand. it is fun. Long action-packed levels, Unique scenery, character and enemy design. even the story is interesting even though not completely serious. it has a very light sense of humor, and it is very satisfyingly gory. and pretty much the only game I know of where you play as a Janitor. get this game if you like a good third person shooter. cause this game is also challenging.

Fun, Funny, Unique game

MDK still has to be one of the most bizarre, unique games I've ever played; after all these years, I'm still at a loss for how to even describe it. Action packed, with elaborate and surreal set pieces, MDK also manages to somehow combine Monty Python-eque humor ("The World's Most Interesting Bomb"), with some startling and somber changes in tone (one of the levels seems to imply the wartime bombing of London). It shouldn't work, but it does.

A incredible experience

MDK is something every gamer should experience. It's unique combination of craziness, fun gameplay, over the top weapons, and humor make it a one of a kind gem.
