A solid point & click experience

A pretty long (about 10h for me) gaming experience, a rather immersive narrative, a bit Indiana Jones-esque, slightly erring on the side of the pulp. Pretty focused on its core gameplay of point&click item & puzzle management, despite its narrative being action-themed (go around the world, and obviously, save it from evil evildoers). All in all, puzzles are quite intuitive, through rigourous item management (obviously split in scenes each with specific items) and subtle hints and nudges from character commentary. An enjoyable experience, fresh and immersive. As an old school point & clicker (king's quest, larries; lucasarts, etc, I enjoyed the continuity with refreshing content and production, on par with XXI century. I hope you will too!

Like a series of minigames

About the graphics: beautiful sceneries and atmosphere, but unfortunately the characters looks quite lame (at least their animation is acceptable). The game is very, very easy. Once you've found all the items and hotspots, then just a few clicks to advance. You have only a few items and scenes at the same time, so even with trial and error method is extremly easy and linear. And this is the biggest problem of this game. Remember Day of the tentacle or Monkey Island 2 or Thimbleweed park (and other classics)? Where you can do a lot of things in the same time in different places? Here you always have to focus on only one task and if you solve it you can go to the next puzzle. Most of the time you're limited to only 1-2 places with a couple of items in your inventory and you just have to combine these. After you're done on one scene the game "resets", you have an empty inventory and a few new places. Like a series of minigames. All in all still a great adventure, but without challenges it's like a speedrun.

Well, this was an adventure

Good old fashioned adventure. It's how i would describe. It kind of reminds me of Indiana Jones movies. Its has a right setting, its happening before world war 2. Character are memorable. Great voice acting, good story, ending was kind off, well it ended too quickly i think. Visuals are great. It has many puzzles, i'll admit. Few times i was stuck, but when i completed puzzles, it was satisfying, rewarding. And best way to describe puzzles is, i dont know if they were brilliant or stupid, but they wre ridicolus enough that it was great and funny. And now to part 2 (Lost horizon 2)
