Good TBS/RTT
It is a pitty that this project was stoped. Yes, now there is Total War, but as for me this game was much more better and convient. In Total War units are uncontrolled, this is spoiled all gameplay and make game not interesting.

Play this Game
LOTR2 combines strategy, tactics and accessibility, and delivers a rewarding experience through all three. The learning curve is gentle, the game play is engaging and there are enough options that you won't get bored. While the archaic AI can sometimes be manipulated, enabling the more challenging difficulty options and realism features insures that the odds against you will be so daunting that you'll rarely feel free of danger. The fast, involved game play is addictive and loads of fun, and you rarely feel cheated by bad design. It's very rare indeed to find a hybrid strategy/real time tactics game that is so much fun.

Hundreds of Hours
Spent hundreds of hours playing this game back in 96/97. By far one of the best RTS games until Total War came into the picture. I've been waiting for this game to finally show up on GOG. I think you, my wife will hate you for it.

Never gets old.
I bought my first version of this game at a Toys-R-Us on sale. Didn't know the first thing about it. Here it is many, many years and computers later and I'm downloading it again. Can't seem to get away from it. Very good role playing game that is actully fun to play.

Excellent GOG
I remember this as a kid. Played it a lot until medieval and rome total war. The campaign map is still, to this day, better then any total war game!
