Looks nice but that's about it

+ the game does look nice, the art style is really beautiful and fitting for its atmosphere. + same goes for the music, a really fitting soundtrack that's not too noticeable but helps create this gloomy atmosphere. But sadly that's all the positives I find myself able to list. The negatives on the other hand.. - there is little to no story. Who am I? Why am I here? Who are the other creatures? What happened? There are no answers. - the camera angle in combination with platforming will result in many, many deaths. It is extremely difficult to judge where you are in relation to the objects around you. Oh, these two line up, right? No, no they don't. - puzzles are mediocre at best. It is either perfectly clear what needs to be done or you figure it out after falling to your death a couple of times. - the controls are extremely clunky. Or suddenly decide to stage a rebellion and not function anymore. The most common occurrence for me was Six grabbing everything and not letting go. You want to jump? Nope, grab it is. You want to let go and drop down? Nope, grab. You don't want to pick this thing up? GRAB! - short. Really short. Takes you about 3 hours (including numerous deaths) to finish. Overall an average game with below average content, difficulty, and catastrophic controls. If you want something similar but well executed go for Inside.

A Rich Experience Let Down by Gameplay

This game is stylistic, haunting and full of atmosphere, and it's easy to feel captivated throughout your dangerous journey to escape. Movement and gameplay is mainly platforming and using your character in physics puzzles. This is probably the weakest area of the game. While the controls are OK, movement in 3D is not precise and dying is common while trying to figure out which routes are safe and which are blocked off. This is compounded by an unhelpful save system, which will often make you repeat content needlessly. The stylistic visuals and atmospheric sounds are great, and fit the game well. The game can be finished in a few hours, making it an easy and rewarding experience to go through, without any unnecessary bloat or filler content. If you're concerned about the value of the game try and pick it up whlie it's on sale.

Had potential but didnt deliver

This game has an abundance of problems and was a very frustrating experience to get trough. I would honestly recommend potential buyers to stay away from this game and play Limbo/INSIDE instead. The Game is also in my humble opinion NOT FINISHED, it is a nightmare play.................... The soundtrack and art direction though is top notch, for the only redeeming value it has.

Incredibly disapointed

It's been a while since the last time I was so disapointed by a game,,, Everyone talked about little nightmares and said that it was amazIng. I love horror in general and I started trying horror games and I finaly decided to play it and wow, I'm sad, A waste of time and money. Great atmosphere, absolutly terrible, god awful, pathetic, chietas gameplay. I was stuck in a room with a repetitive anoying sound effect because the game sometimes doesn't do what it is designed to do and you think "ok so it's something else" than 20 minutes later you just go watch a playtrough and lose any kind of involvment. I am tired of dying because I didn't get what the devs were asking of me as I cannot read their god damn minds. I died because I wanted to run when the devs decided it was sneaking time. I died because I tried to sneak when it's running time whitout any special cues. I died again and again in a locked room because there is nothing that indicated what I needed to do. When I don't die I don't have fun either, everything is scripted and boring, you do EXACTLY what the devs want and that is it. This game might as well play itself or be a rythm game,,, What a god damn pile

A Night of Panic and Intrigue

This game's story is both creepy and beautiful at the same time. Ultimately there is no dialogue, so what the full story is we may never know. But the game definitely seems rooted in Japanese/Chinese lore at its roots. It reminded me a lot of Spirited Away (a Studio Ghibli film) in how it's characters looked and acted. The developers did a great job at making the player feel the urgency of the need for escape. It's you verses large creatures you can't fight. There is only flight, and it needs to be precise in order to be executed properly. I admit that I freaked out a couple of times because I didn't think I'd make it out of a specific situation, and I felt genuine relief when I succeeded. The graphics are wonderful, and the soundtrack is perfect for the game. (I purchased the soundtrack because I loved it so much). Some people have complained about the length of the game... But I personally thought it was just right. You can only scare someone but so much before the story starts to lose it's appeal. And I was engrossed in this game from beginning to end. I literally couldn't put it down until I was done. I ended up staying up till around 3 in the morning because of that urgent need for escape I mentioned earlier. I couldn't go to sleep knowing that I'd leave the character in a horrible situation. That's rare. I gave this title 5 stars because that's what it deserves. I haven't played any of the DLC, and honestly I don't really intend to. I feel fulfilled with this story line. This game was a wonderful, short, frightening experience.
