First of all this is not a game, it is more like an animated film where you can make choices to alter the outcome and I loved that! I enjoyed the first 4 episodes so much I could not stop playing it.
Best to play this, is to go into it without knowing anything and just let the story play out. Episode 5 (the last episode) wasn't a bad episode by any means, it just felt weaker to me than the episodes before, and the end (without spoilering to much) let you feel unsatisfied about some things you did early in game.
Nevertheless it has great story, great music, great voice acting. Pick it up if you like storygames.
Life is Strange is offers quite the emotional ride for anybody who is ok with the game focusing on a story where you choose your own path instead of action-packed gameplay. It's much more like a walking sim and thats ok.

Life is Strange is probably one of my favorite games ever made, and I'm certainly not the target audience. I've bought the game on multiple platforms, and have played through it completely at least twice. I had even talked some friends into purchasing it some years back, despite their criticism that they wouldn't enjoy it just based on its looks or style of play. Anyone in my life who I managed to get to pick this title up thanked me for recommending it to them, and then we sat and had a conversation about how wild of a ride the telling is.
It's not so much the gameplay style of Life is Strange that makes it a masterpiece, but the story itself, the crazy twist and turns it can take and how your choices actually do effect a lot of different things to a great degree, including multiple endings. But I don't want to write too much on that, you won't find spoilers here.
I've never really been a fan of point and click games, but I grew up on a handful of them, and the best were always the ones that drove you to play it for no reason then to find out what happens next. Life is Strange is just that, while it may start off rather slow and seem tedious it gradually picks up the pace.
Some call this a walking simulator, I call it art. If you must think of it as an interactive movie of a sort, then by all means do so, after all the game isn't without its flaws but what game is truly perfect? It's a raw drama that should, by the end, leave your heart twisted in the decisions you will have to face.
It's not particularly hard to play, and for some they may equate to boredom. If you enjoy reading books, watching great drama movies, point and click adventure games, and wish sometimes you could change a detail or save the life of a beloved character, I would encourage you try Life is Strange.

Story LiS zostało stworzone przez profesjonalnych filmowców.
Gry - interaktywne filmy nie są obecnie przesadnie nadreprezentowanym gatunkiem, są wręcz rzadkością, ale całe szczęście się zdarzają (np. Detroit: BH) i prym w ich produkcji wiedzie Francja i tamtejsze studia, nie inaczej jest w przypadku. Francja ma tradycję filmową w zakresie ambitnego kina, więc może dlatego tu rodzą się również gry skupione na opowiedzeniu ciekawej historii, dokonuje się innowacja w tym gatunku oraz znajdują się producenci będący w stanie finansować tego typu eksperymenty na poziomie przynajmniej AA.
Gra apeluje również do gustów kobiet, których preferencje i upodobania w zakresie rozgrywki, rynek gier zdaje się w dużej mierze ignorować (poza nielicznymi wyjątkami typu serią SIMS, czy częscią przygodówek).
Pomijając fantastyczną grę, muszę ponarzekać, że na rynku bardzo brakuje takich ambitnych i unikalnych gier jak ta, które polegają na czymś innym niż wymachiwaniu mieczem bądź lufą. Tu innowacja jest odważna i bezkompromisowa, której nasze rodzime studia, które dopiero co chwyciły przysłowiową kurę za złote jaja i starają się przypodobać głównie masowym niewybrednym gustom, konkurując już tylko na dokładność odbicia światła na giwerze, mogę niestety pozazdrościć. No, ale z grami, to jak z filmami, a nawet gorzej, bo niestety masowy gust przeciętnego zjadacza chleba, a może stereotypowego gracza, który się utarł się jako nastoletni osobnik płci męskiej, rzadko docenia inteligentne czy niszowe produkcje i przez to mamy wysyp fabularnie byle czego, ale ważne, że z akcją i efektami specjalnymi, bo to się sprzedaje niestety najlepiej. A takich gier jak ta, niestety brakuje.
Podsumowując - warta każdej wydanej złotówki. Polecam!
