Not for Harry Potter fans
This is my first lego game, so I did not know what was expecting me. Most importantly: This is a pure multiplayer game, to be played with two persons on one keyboard. It probably would be better with gamepads, the overall game mechanics are very console-like. If you play alone, you can control one character with the left, and the other with the right hand, but in this case, it is hard to manage all 16 keys at once. The game obviously tells the story of Harry Potter in a very compressed way, but I'm absolutely not immersed into it, like I was when reading the books, or watching the movies. The characters do not talk, and it seems the game is mostly about earning money: You can cast random spells at almost every object, which in return releases coins in different colours, which you can collect before they disappear again. The game feels like rushing through a film studio - you can clearly identify all the props, but the characters have no character, there is no profound story and no 'magic'. Maybe it would be better with two players, but I do not expect that, because you only walk around and hit the spell-key when an object flashes, signalizing it can be interacted with. I guess I might just be to old for this kind of genre ('no-brainer').
