Great awesome game. The first thing your going to notice is all of the great camera angles just watching NYPD Blue. If you run the camera looks like it is running bobbing up and down. I AM IMPRESSED WITH ANOTHER STEAL OF A DEAL. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH A COMPLETE EDGY AND SEMI VIOLENT GAME FROM THE STREETS AND BACK ALLEY, THIS IS 5 STARS FIR SURE.
GOG KNOCKS ANOTHER OUT OF THE PARK
Mroczna, brutalna strzelanka. W porówaniu z pierwszą częścią gameplay jest lepszy, poprawione sztrzelanie, grafikę oraz AI przeciwników.
Niestety gra jest krótka (3-4 godziny) i posiada całkowicie nieangażującą fabułę (gdzie w pierwszej części historia była ok). Przez całą gre po prostu idziemy do przodu nie zwracając za bardzo uwagi po co to robimy.
Błędów raczej nie ma, ale gra nie rejestrowała osiągnięć (pomimo, że były do zdobycia).
Całkiem dobrze się bawiłem przy grze, ale raczej już nie wrócę do niej.
It’s a third-person shooter. Simple battles. You can get in cover (as in other similar games). This time you’ll be needing to reload your weapons (I prefer that feature in action games!).
Four difficulty levels, which can be selected at the beginning of each chapter. On “medium” (which is the second difficulty of the four) it seemed to me a bit more difficult than the middle difficulty (codeine) of the first game. Apart from the difficulty, the battles seem more “intense” and “real” and you’ll be feeling the damage your weapons do. Especially the sound of the weapons is magnificent!
The game plays in 11 chapters, of up to 50 minutes each. About 10 h in total. No manual saving, there are checkpoints inside each chapter.
In the first game, you were always controlling only Kane. This time, you’ll be controlling only Lynch (apart from the last chapter, where you control Kane). However, there is no giving commands to others.
I found the story to be of equal quality than the first game’s and, thankfully, at the start of the second game, it is said that things had ended up well for everyone at one of the endings of the first game! Also, the dialogues between the two characters are both intense and encouraging, as they try to make each other to keep up fighting and going forwards.
As the only negative, I would say that the game has got one of shortest and plainest endings I’ve ever seen! Even after the 18 years (!) that have passed since its release, I would like to hope that someone will make a third part, to at least make it a trilogy and tell us what happened to Kane & Lynch.
If you thought Max Payne 3 and Spec Ops The Line were too polished, Kane & Lynch: Dog Days is here to give the most accurate depiction of a third person shooter.
Never before has the sluggesh gunfire of middle aged psychcotic men been so faithfully represented in a game.
