Violence erupts in meticulously created 'safe' worlds - Realistic and responsive environments and crowds react when events get of out control. Crowded nightclubs and calm bank offices become scenes of sudden terror. Manipulate the environments and crowds strategically to complete objectives.
Wide variety of intense 3rd person game play - Rappel from buildings; fire on the run or from moving vehicles; launch surprise attacks, lay down cover fire, and shoot blind from around corners; and hurl smoke, tear, and incendiary grenades.
Fast and intuitive combat - Lead a crew of criminal mercenaries to increase your chance of surviving and reaching your goals. You can also fight alone as your crew AI will automatically draw fire, throw grenades, lay down cover, and engage in close combat with their own signature moves.
Definitely not a bad game by any means, but is also a product of its time. A lot of nifty gameplay mechanics for sure, but some things just don't feel quite right.
Controls are decent enough but there are times when the game is trying to force you into cover mode when you might not want it. The camera, while not terrible, can get a bit finiky in some situations leaving it difficult for you to see what's going on. Sometimes your weapon's sightlines get hinder in odd ways leading to occassions where you have no choice but to expose yourself to gun fire in order to actually fire beyond your cover. Weapon accuracy is also a big problem. Your crosshairs feel more like a generalized direction of fire as opposed to actual aiming. Overall, not a bad game, but not really a great game either.
i loved this game on 360 wanted to experience it again its not available via backwards compat on my series so thought i would buy on pc

Well, let's make this easy. Here are the things I liked:
+ Characters that you belive in;
+ Logic story, wich made you think "could it even be better?";
+ Conspiracy crime organization. Well I didn't expect that at all. But it feels like "John Wick"'s but just in the beginning;
+ Good atmosphere music (where there are some).
+ Actualy not that stupid AI parthners. They DO something and the DO save you.
+ Awesome revive system wich is fresh for SP even now.
+ Game duration. It's just perfect. Short and full of action story.
And here's what not so good:
- Shooting. I though it's good but not, it's not at all. Even when you aim, you don't get shots get in the aiming area, they just burst all over the screen;
- Sound design. Oh damn, there are so many times when you just couldn't hear somebody because he's on the "wrong" angle from you.
There are no problems that couldn't be solved by remastor or remake. This game deserve it.
Overall I will give it a 8/10.
Wiele jest gier, o których świat zapomniał wraz z upływem czasu – do tego grona należy Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, gra bardzo dobra, która potrafi zachwycić nawet obecnie (mówię to jako osoba, która zagrała w nią po raz pierwszy w życiu w 2025 roku, czyli prawie 18 lat po jej wydaniu). Gra ta oferuje mocną, pełną strzelania i mrocznego klimatu kampanię, podczas której można zwiedzić sporą część świata, odwiedzić wiele różnych państwa i kontynentów. Gramy w niej jako były najemnik Adam 'Kane' Marcus, który ma (delikatnie mówiąc) sporo za uszami i potrafi niesamowicie dobrze walczyć. Nie chcę zdradzać fabuły bo uważam, że naprawdę warto ją poznać samemu, więc nic więcej już na ten temat nie powiem. Gra oferuje fajny, oryginalny system zarządzania drużyną, dzięki któremu można wydawać im polecenia – mamy więc do czynienia ze strzelanką zza pleców bohatera z elementami taktycznymi. Grafika jak na swoje lata jest dobra. Jeśli chodzi o wady to są one w zasadzie dwie: problemy techniczne oraz brak polskiej wersji językowej, jednakże nie obniżam z ich powodu oceny (ilości gwiazdek). Dlaczego? Gra ma swoje lata i niestety siłą rzeczy nie wszystko działa bez problemu – na szczęście większość problemów (lub nawet wszystkie) można rozwiązać przez odpalenie jej w trybie zgodności z Windows Vista jako administrator. Można również liczyć na to, że w przyszłości GOG doda ją do swojego programu ochrony gier i zostanie ona porządnie naprawiona, dzięki czemu będzie dobrze działałać od razu po instalacji. Co do braku języka polskiego – winę ponosi firma Cenega, a nie GOG, ponieważ to oni wydali tę grę w naszym kraju i postanowili nie udostępniać polskich napisów żadnej platformie dystrybucji cyfrowej. Na koniec dodam, że jak najbardziej warto kupić tę grę i to tutaj na GOG, ponieważ jest to jedyne miejsce, gdzie (na ten moment) można ją nabyć bezpośrednio (bez korzystania z keyshopów), a oprócz tego można ją zachować na zawsze.
If Breaking Bad somehow killed off the main characters and focused on any one of the crazed henchmen, it wouldn't look too disimilar to Kane and Lynch.
All you can do is shoot, and all the plot can do is neander to 90's homages until it ends. You will find references to Heat, Predator, and Collateral. Where those references are generally found in light-hearted games like Saints Row 4, Kane and Lynch's story and aesthetics are miserable and depraved, so it almost feels tone-deaf.
The simple shooter action is blindsided by a callous story, one that drunkenly falls to a sad corpse of an ending that leaves an awful taste in your mouth. Its worth the few dollars spent, but the sequel is where this game's ideas work together.
These games are painful, not forgettable.
