Well, unlike the first game, the second game is worth taking a look at. They fixed original flaw of things appearing camera before you can react nicely by simply increasing camera distance from action, to a point that it feels unpersonal until you take control of characters. It also feels easier to a point of being rather chill, aside from bosses that are sometimes hard and often feel quite a chore, outstaying their welcome unless you have huge powerups. Yea, it probably is not that good of game desing, with chilly game stages with even less in-game plot than the original game, with harder bosses, but forgivable for the time. I am sure some will love it this way. You should install Plus, a fan-patch, from goodies of GOG too, it fixes things. Don't use higher resolution tho, it moves camera way too far. Check out multiplayer, even with one friend, it's pretty cute. Never seen such platformer to have same multiplayer as what you expect from FPS games. Too bad it seems you have to fancy around console commands to get coop going in online Internet mode. Chill fun with friends. It also comes with Secret Files add-on already installed into game. It adds Lori, a new bun character to amuse late 90s Internet furries. I mean, the artist who drew her is obviously different, having also done intro and ending, her art style doesn't fit the rest of a gang. Spaz and Jazz look like crackheads in comparison. Sadly, they forgot to add any ability to allow her to reach higher places, so she can get stuck even in Secret Files's own episode. I mean, if you reaaaaally tryhard you can get around that as the faster you run the higher you jump in this game. Is not worth it. If you want to use her, remember JJFLY cheat for when you get stuck. Check out manual for characters special moves, btw. It also still looks and sounds remarkably.

When it came out it was a blast, but now (being a almost 40yo dad) playing it coop with the kids is the best fun i had with a game in a long time.

This game being on GoG is long overdue, but it's finally here and it's got all the Jazz you need. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is a good game in it's own right. It has impressive graphics, large and varied worlds full of secrets, tight controls and a wacky sense of humour that gives it its own kind of attitude. You can play through the single-player campaign alone or experience the game with a friend. The game has several episodes with diverse levels, ranging from psychedelic 60s-style forests to beaches and from medieval castles to infernal caverns. You can replay the game with different characters, each with their own special moves. Some hidden rooms are only accessible with certain characters. This adds replay value to an already decently sized campaign. But what really makes this GoG release the best one ever is that it's simply brimming with extra content. If you still want more there's multiplayer maps to dig you teeth in with multiple modes such as deathmatch, capture the flag and race. Add in the expansion packs Secret Files and Christmas Chronicles and what you have is a massive package of single- and multiplayer fun. For the first time both the additional episodes come in a single bundle together with the original game. A level editor is included so you can create even more stages to keep this package last for years. What really impressed me, however, is that this release includes the fan-made Jazz Jacrabbit 2+ mod. It's highly recommended to install this update as it gives you access to even more multiplayer modes and a plethora of bugfixes and small features than enhance online multiplayer in many ways. The fact that Epic Games recognized the effort put in by its fans by adding the latest version of this mod is a testimony to both the game's fans and its continued longevity. Jazz 2 is easier to obtain than ever and ready to be experienced by a new generation of players. This is one big, bad bundle of bunnies that newcomers and fans alike won't want to miss!

Yes! Yes! It is here! GOG rulez as hell! This was one of the first box game my parents bought me and It has created my childhood. Awesome gameplay with more awesome soundtrack I remember to this day. One more time, thank you GOG! I recommend this for all retro-players, because this causes instant nostalgia feeling.

I had to put nostalgia and fond memories aside for this one. There are too many technical issues that prevented me from going back. The game started in fullscreen with some slight black borders all around it, but no sound. Once I changed the resolution to 800x600 (the maximum - and only thanks to the JJ2+ mod), I had sound back but the game was literally just an 800x600 area with massive black bars on all four sides on my full HD screen. Almost too small to see anything. Running it in a window kinda works, as I can resize it to twice the size, but I have to resize it every time it loads a level. Split screen is kind of broken as well: Race softlocks after the first lap, Coop kind of works (you only have the 3 lives, no continues - so in the worst case your partner has to continue playing through the episode with half of the screen stuck in game over). I'm running Windows 10, large TV on a receiver. I cannot enable GPU scaling in my drivers for some reason, which is a fix that some suggested. And now audio doesn't even work in 800x600. YMMV but I'm quite disappointed.
