If you’re thinking about buying ISLANDERS please keep in mind that we are a very passionate but small team of three. This is not a blockbuster experience with hours and hours of content. What we’d like to offer you is a simple game that lets anybody create and explore their own little worlds, while providing enough depth for players who want to challenge themselves. Wanna know the specifics?
The gameplay of ISLANDERS is pretty intuitive. You start with a set of buildings in your inventory that you can place on your island. Placing buildings is rewarded with points. The amount of points you get depends on what surrounds the buildings when you place them. Gather enough points to refill your inventory and unlock new buildings.Once your city is big enough you may choose to travel to the next island (they are generated procedurally, so you can literally keep exploring forever). If you run out of buildings the game ends. This is where you high five yourself for beating the high score, take a proud last glance at the epic city you've built and start just one more round...

Islanders is simple and straight-forward but still manages to make each of its city-building runs engrossing with a high-score to chase and procedurally-generated spaces to explore. It's the charming visuals and meditative soundtrack that make your brief stays worth it, enrapturing you in a relaxing aesthetic as you try to survive as long as you can.

Looks like it could be fun....
But I had a problem where it was constantly showing that I had some sort of console controller hooked up and I don't. Showing hit the A button for everything at once and it would flicker the A button logo as I moved the mouse. If someone experiences the same thing and solves it, I will buy again.

Back to Steam :(
It sucks that yet another game is M$ only on Gog but has a Mac version on Steam. I'd love to come to a non-stalking platform with Mac/Linux support and the knowledge that if the company goes kaput I'll keep my games, but publishers keep giving preferential treatment to the creepy.

Game is not compatible with M2 mac air
The game is stating its compatible with mac os. After buying the install button is still inactive (grey). I guess its not compatible tho.
