Almost every character has their use and the balance is almost perfect (except for Draco lol). Gameplay is good and the procedural generation makes every mission a bit more tense.
Not my cup of tea. Way too hard for me. I was obliterated within the first couple of missions. Reading the other reviews from geniuses who finished the beginner game within two hours makes me wonder whether they're some sort of superintelligent AI and not actually human. If you don't mind a bit of frustration, then buy it but I prefer games that aren't brutally punishing.
This is a very well thought out game. Wonderfully well balanced and the choices you make are actually opening some doors and closing others in regards to your future strategy/approach for other missions.
I found the game to have sufficient missions till it reaches the end so that it does not become tedious/boring and the difficulty scaling is well managed and so it keeps things challenging.
The game has great re-playability too! It has a futuristic vibe to it so it felt futuristic, dystopic future in 2016 when I played it the first time, it still very well feels futuristic, now at the end of 2024 and it will feel that it is ahead of time for another 20 years or more!
It's a turn based heist game. You control a team of agents which you send on jobs and guide to objectives while circumventing security measures and guards with skills and gadgets. I want to like it because it does many things well and, on paper, checks a lot of boxes of what I enjoy, but feels as less fun as it should have been.
To start positive; nice art style, slick presentation, fitting cyberpunk setting, easy overlays to filter information. However, levels are mostly dull and lay-outs of buildings often made no sense at all, which is problematic for a heist, you’re in the blind.
You start with two agents and can add two more if you rescue them in missions. In theory these agents will be specialized in a task and work together. In practice you will want to split up because you have no idea where you need to go and each turn will raise the alarm level, and difficulty. You train agents in four skills but. aside from speed which gives you action points, this is fairly inconsequential. The others will give an extra set percentage to acquired resources and can be requirements to use powerful gadgets, but most gadgets were so specific in their use case that I ended up selling them. Augments can make a big difference but you need to get a bit lucky to be able to acquire the nice ones. So, for me, all my agents ended up with basically equal sets of skills and equipment.
It’s turn based but planning is minimal. You don’t know what you are getting into and are mostly responding. There is a problem here because the procedural generation can easily narrow down options. Like: give you a door, no way around it, in field of view of two (or more) stationary guards at the other side - throwing stealth out the window.
It is still fun to play through a couple of times and it will give you moments of excitement. There are quite a few things to try out in game and you can also tweak many of the settings to keep it fresh. I don’t think I will still play this a lot though.

I LOVE the theme of this game - it's like the matrix if bullet time was instead a turn-based stealth-em-up. And it's superbly balanced and with incredible UI. One of my favourite games of all time and I'm in awe of everyone who made it <3
