Our story revolves around Ajna, a fearless girl with a rebellious streak. Raised by her father on the outskirts of their rural town, her life is thrown into chaos when her home is attacked, and a mysterious power awakens within her.


The game’s huge fantasy world, characters and aesthetic design are inspired by various cultures and mythologies. Throughout Ajna’s quest she’ll encounter many “Incarnations”: people whom she can absorb and manifest to fight alongside her.


There are many Incarnations to recruit, each with their own story and personality. By uniting people from faraway lands, Ajna will learn about herself, the world she inhabits, and most importantly, how to save it.

Good game, but with some issues

Indivisible is a game of many ups and downs, though the pros outweigh the cons. The combat system is quite unlike any other game and is very fun. It doesn't have much depth to it, but it feels very satisfying to chain together attacks and juggle enemies into the air. The game could use some better tutorials however, as it kind of throws you into the deep end right at the beginning and doesn't explain the basics of combat very well. The game also suffers from an improper difficulty curve, making all fights in the late game extremely easy which takes some of the fun out of it. Aside from the combat, the other big part of gameplay is metriodvania platforming, which sadly felt undercooked. Mobility upgrades are gained by characters having an epiphany at seemingly random times, making backtracking feel arbitrary. It also becomes very tedious in the late game, due to limited fast travel options and the fact that some sidequests don't properly show their objectives on the map. The most notable positive about this game is its art direction. The character designs are nothing short of immaculate and everything is lavishly animated. It is clear that a lot of love went into the creation of this game. The soundtrack is also fantastic and nicely compliments the vibrant artstyle and hectic combat mechanics. Where the game falters is in its writing. The story is fine, but the protagonist has to be one of the most insufferable characters I've ever seen in a video game. She is aggressive and downright hostile towards everyone around her for about 2/3s of the game. The story does end up explaining why she is like that and the ending is actually quite touching, but this doesn't solve the issue that she is completely unlikable for the first 15-20 hours of play. The writing in general also tries way too hard to be funny and often falls flat on its face. This is a game I would recommend on the basis of its gameplay and overall presentation, but don't expect much out of the story.

A really good looking game, nothing else

So this sat in my backlog, and I decided to play it this year. It is frustrating as all hell. A JRPG battler, but you also have Castlevania exploration** and lots of character But it is the Jack-of-all-trades, except not very good at the other trades besides art. Castlevania exploration? Ye, you'll see the breakable floor or double jump spot in the map, but the maps are painfully linear. The only reason to ever backtrack, seems to be because you can collect the power up gems...which you can use to either purchase an additional attack turn with your party members, or boost your defences. The combat mechanic is really nifty, if not a bit cluttered, but i love how you can start comboing things, not that it'll matter, because you'll quickly find that each character has the most "optimal" pattern. The defence upgrade barely matters, because in the 2nd act, when you need to activate 3 ancient layline sigils, you'll run into a bowl of noodle that WILL oneshot you, unless you perfectly time the block. The movement and animation...it demands Hollow knight level handling for some obsticles, shame that the animation for those things are completly wonky AND CLUTTERED. Want to down attack for a pogostick? NOPE, you'll spear forward. Want to wallboost with your axe? NOPE you'll spear forward. They knew it was bad, because the consequence for failiure is that you lose a bit of you healthbar. What happens when you run out? You'll reappear at the last local"area checkpoint",not savepoint, and have to redo any nearby gems that you collected along the way. Characters. Yes, this was made by a really good art team. They really should have started cutting characters after 5, because you'll get "hidden" ones that have NO dialog in the story or even cutscenes. HECK, they might not even appear when you're supposed to "all be outside the mental world". So 2/5 or 4.5 to 10. Not bad, but very sloppy. Should have either kept more to the RPG aspect like FF or made it fully Castlevania

Game is fun. Art is amazing but.

What I love about the game is the amazing art the cool attacks and just the overall atmosphere. Interesting characters you get to meet. Down sides are if your bad at platforming you won't get far into the game there are a few jump that can test your patients to the limit. You also don't feel immerse in the cut scenes since they have this lovely music playing and no sound effects when there is clearly a explosion going on, on the screen.

Overall good game

I personally have not played an Action-RPG in awhile that has left me this satifisied after beating it. While there are definetly a few areas where the game currently could use some polish I would say it has more positives than negatives. I never felt like the game at any point had any serious detractors, more like it had some areas that felt like a little more polish would have brought it up from silver to gold. Good stuff: - Nice art style and clean animations - Great voice acting (going of Eng ver) - Great story and a diversive cast + world setting - Boss fights - NO need for exp grind Meh stuff: - Side quests: stumbled upon yb accident, not really given enough attention IMO - Combat: Only because it can become slighty repative and mashing of buttons IMO can wear hands out - Action platforming: some areas could use a little more polish and sometimes you have to get just the right angle or hit detection happening. More often though this was not the case Negative: - None that stood out to me

A "rose" type situation

Pros: animations, art, music, voice acting Undecided: characters, story, pricing Cons: combat, difficulty curve I'm quite on the fence about this one, personally I liked it but I see why a lot of people wouldn't. The price seems pretty high but you understand the reason for that if you look at the visually and auditorily pleasing experience it has to offer. The story and characters are all over the place, certain character developments seem quite mind boggling; the story can be silly, very cheesy and not take itself seriously until it suddenly does. The game wants to have many different characters and thus have a wide variety of abilities and fighting styles but some seem to come quite short (Yan?) and story-wise get barely any exposition. The platforming parts are too long at times, especially in the later half of the game without being particularly difficult or have any fighting to break it up a bit, checkpoints appear too many and sometimes not enough (in the first few hours especially). The game teaches you new abilities and hammers that in many times but other times you're left to guess how to proceed. Combat and difficulty curve or lack thereof is a bit disappointing, there is definitely a combo system but it is often enough to just button mash. Certain characters seem more useful or even OP (hello Kampan) but you could technically make the game easier or harder by not taking any healers. Overall a fun game with a lot of charm to carry it through its many edges and "thorns".
