Epic story
I don't have it yet on PC but I have played it and dlc through on PS4. I got it because of robots, post-apocalyptic world, open world and it has a story. Found out that it doesn't just tell Aloy's story but along the way you get to explore and find out note by note what happened to the world before. And best thing for me was that as an open world, game will let you explore freely. - After you get through the tutorial. Also by wandering around you'll find some of the missions and well... there few hidden things that can recommend to find out. Tutorial part is quite neatly done and used part of Aloy's past, in her childhood. It helps to get to know how she came to be. Some characters that you'll meet are unique to say the least. Open world you get to explore is pretty huge and it has rather smooth trancitions between different terrains with their unique weather conditions as well as there will be some of the machines specified to certain areas. Cinematics are very long and you'll do yourself a favor to grab some snacks and enjoy the movie parts. Combat in this game.. there is plenty of that and hunting too. In this game you it's sealth, tactics and traps before. Sure you get to find big guns... attached on biggerst robots and you'll only get your hands on those if you manage to hunt those big machines down. Still they are temporary and heavy to handle. There just was something extremely satisfying to be able to take down huge thunderjaws with traps and bows. As well as taming one. Also there are few robots that not only can be tamed but also ride on to get to different locations faster. Sure you use fasttravel after unlocking campfires but that world is too pretty on any time of the gameworld's day. Also views from the Longnecks are worth of that climbing.
