Homeworld - The Best Space War Sim!
Homeworld Remastered Collection is, for me, the best space war sim of the classic era brought back to life. From the opening cutscenes of the campaign to the tense, tactical fleet engagements, the game balances story and gameplay beautifully. I don’t usually spend much time on campaigns, but this one is dramatic enough to keep me invested throughout. Where the game really earns replay value is Skirmish mode. The variety of maps and the way the AI scales its tactics make each match feel fresh — whether I’m experimenting with different fleet compositions or trying to outmaneuver a stubborn opponent. The remaster does a fantastic job improving the original: the updated graphics make the ships and battles look spectacular without losing the aesthetic that made the originals memorable, and the sound effects and score add weight to every confrontation. For someone who grew up playing RTSes in the ’90s, seeing Homeworld get this treatment is a genuine treat. If you enjoy strategic fleet combat, memorable set-pieces, and a strong blend of story and skirmish replayability, don’t miss this one.

Weak port, no LAN
They remade HW1 on HW2 engine and it is not even close to original experience. Also something that I will never accept. They made classic versions available but stripped them of LAN connection option. Why do it? Were they afraid that people would rather play old ones instead of new ones? Cool, so now no one is playing neither old nor new and community is no more. Congratulations to new owners of the brand HW2 port is OK and playable
