With space battles now more spectacular than even the evergreen Eve Online, and with far less effort required to enjoy them, this sees two excellent games restored. While in a past it was tricky to argue a decisive case for either of the Homeworld games for greatest RTS of all time, now they've been forever merged, updated and supplemented with the original games, the collection is indispensable.

Good but a bit overrated
The new visuals of HW Remastered Collection are nice to see and if you're a player who focuses in things like this you should buy it. On the other hand there are a few things which are worse than in the original version. Unfortunately only english voices are available. You can change the screen text into your favorite language but all chatter and speech and audio storytelling is english only. If you consider that the original version was released in various other audio languages this is a step backwards. Also some other things of the gameplay have been modified. which had an impact on the immersion in the original version. At least it would be good if the develeopers had given you the choice of which gameplay experience you want to have. Now there are a few more automatic procedures that are nice for the progress of the game but it feels not better. Last thing is that the collection doesn't include HW Catclysm. Maybe it wasn't possible but as the owner of the license rights it would have made sense to have all parts included in the collection. Conclusion: If you don't played HW before this collection is right for you. If you own the original version you should stay with it.

Hard copy or digital download?
I already have the albeit digital version... I cant find the info if this is a hard copy or a digital download version as well? would love to have a hard copy tho :) On topic then, the original versions were great. I can't remember an RTS game that sucked me into the storyline so much, bonded me with the characters, even the pilots in the 'vettes. Played some skirmish last night and beat the hell out of Vaygr forces with the Kushan tribe. the sound coming from the heavy cruiser was such a pleasure to hear... Anyways, ever since I completed HW and HW2 and also HWC, I always hoped for a remaster. The we got Kharak and then a remaster. Truly masterfully done.

Great rts and Sci Fi.
Can't recommend it more. Gameplay's great, story is top notch, voice acting is fantastic, music is damn near otherworldly and unique. Worth every cent.
