Crash, Crash, Crach, Crash, Crash, Crach If i knew before that there were so many bugs, I would never buy it

Step 1. Just buy it if you already haven't, or get a copy by any means necessary. Title has been on sale so many times, there is not even any excuse to pirate a copy. Ask your neighbor or aunt for a copy if you have to. I don't care. Just get one now! (not to condone video game piracy + Gearbox seems like a really nice developer) Step 2. Install. Step 3. While still installing. Make yourself comfortable. Cancel any appointments for the night. And so on ... Set the mood and atmosphere right for some extraordinary space experience. Get something to drink. There is a high chance you will be sitting still at least for a while. Step 4. Dim down the lights a bit and launch the game. Step 5. Now here comes the REALLY hard part ; Put the game away. WARNING: Interface learning curve might be quite strong at the beginning. Just have a little patience, play the tutorial and soon it will all be in your muscle memory.

As my title suggests, I'm a love this game (I've bought it 4 times over the years - twice on Disc, once on Steam and now on GOG cause ownership rules) Its beautiful, touching, tough, endlessly replayable and so deeply enjoyable. I bought it (again) on sale but its worth the full price. I love it. If you haven't already, buy it now. If you have, play it now!

I played this game when it first game out and ragequit it before I could leave the first star system. Now over a decade later, in playing the Remastered Collection (and being warned that it was just as unforgiving as before), I figured I would pick it up and give it another try now that I had "matured" as an RTS gamer. Not to be. This game is still very flawed. Beautiful, a cleaner and more refined premise, but still a messy tactical strategy space game. Many of the keybindings will NOT work. For example, salvaging and boarding don't work. If they do, and I have scene YT videos where they did (bc I wanted to make it work for me), I was really disappointed that I couldn't do it. And harvesting required constant micromanagement. This is an issue in the very beginning of the game when you are caught by the enemy while you are harvesting for the first time. I DON'T recommend this game. There are far better RTSs out there with better implementation. -2 stars for look and story
