Homeworld® Remastered Collection

You will marvel at the new fancy graphics, you will gawk at the imaginitve and well designed spaceships, you will cry a bit when things go wrong for the characters in the story, and you will bear your teeth with things go horribly wrong. And if you don't keep your head on a swivel and get a bit of luck, this game will grind you up untill you get on its level... and you will have fun doing it. The insane part is this game is only a year and a half older than me, and all it needs is a fresh coat of paint with some fine tuning for it to hold up.

I've never written a review on this site but as I am quite disappointed with this purchase I'm feeling I have to write something. First - you have to download several GB because all of the 4 games are bundled into a single installer. Bad decision. Why can't I have different installers for each game and have to waste hard drive space and bandwidth on a single installer? Second - started Homeworld 1 classic, changed the resolution in the settings, went into a skirmish vs CPU and - bam - the game crashes whenever the first ship in the session is destroyed. Did a quick search in the forum to find a solution. Tried a couple of the things which are described there an none of them fix the crashing. I'm glad I got this in the sale and did not spend more on it.

I bought the original Homeworld in '99 and spent a lot of time with it. Got homeworld 2 when it came out, but never got a chance to finish at the time. Now I can get to it again. The graphics still hold up well in both games and the story - at least H1 - is great. Highly recommend.

GOG Version doesn't have the can't dock ships bug that gearbox refuses to fix in the steam version. Get this one and enjoy this great game bug and DRM free for years to come.

Do you like to dock your ships in HW classic instead of them circling around aimlessly? Then 2.1 on Gog is the version for you!
