Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

Game works perfectly. I can highly recommend this masterpiece.

This is what every turn based strategy game shoud be compared to. The game just oozes with quality, care, and soul. It is unbalanced, there are game breaking strategies, but it just makes it more fun. You can describe what this game is, it is really something special, thouched me when I first played it in the early 2000's been playing it ever since. You can always come back to this game and you feel home. Even if you have no nostalgia for this game, give is a try, and one day you will look back and realise that 20 year has passed, and you still have this game installed, and it still the most fun u had.

I've been playing this game since it's release, and it is, in my opinion, the greatest turn based strategy game of all time. This version on GOG is also the most complete and the best version available to buy out there. I say this as I own the original CD versions of HOMM3 and all expansions as well as the Steam version and Steam HD version. Among all those, this is the version I come back to, since it has everything in a nice clean package. So take that comprehensive package and add in the Heroes 3 HD mod and you have a nice, upscaled version of the game playable on any modern FPS. Now you can either search and find thousands of maps online or just use the random map generator with dozens of templates included in the HD mod and you basically have endless gameplay. Truly one of the best games I've ever played, among the thousands of games I own on Steam (literally, I have thousands...) and all my games on GOG and all my console games, Heroes 3 is the one game I continually come back to over the years and consistently replay through the campaigns and random maps. On top of all that, there is still as of the writing of this review, active, online communities playing this game, either within the HD mod, or one of the many other mods available such as Horn of the Abyss or Wake of Gods. So if that's your thing, you can easily find competition online too. It says something about the quality of a game when it's still the most popular years later, despite many other later entries in the series, it even has active Discord and youtubers who cover it nearly daily. If all that isn't a testament to how amazing this game is and how much value you get for your money, I don't know what more you need to see, but check it out for yourself and see how right I am. You won't be disappointed :)

If you never heard of HoMM franchise - well you are either very young or lived under a rock. Go play it - now. Start with this. It's the best HoMM. And you can play it forever because replay value. It's one of the best turn based strategy games ever made. That's it. Oh yes, you want HD mod to download and apply - if you are using modern monitor.

Played it as a kid, played it some more, played it when I had enough of Homeworld, installed it on a usb stick and played it at work - instead of work, played it when I should have studied for TMA, played it instead of sleep. If you ask me, you should give it a try. I played it a bit over the years, and just about to install it again, and cannot wait to play it again. TMA deadline is 2 weeks away, so I go and play it a bit.
