The Best Game Of All Time!! This game really pushed my interest in mythology and it was the first game I've ever played. Even Today, Iam 22 It's most amazing game for me. Fantastic Music and Fantastic Gameplay. Beautiful experience and sweet memories.

been playing it for almost 20 years and the game still surprises me. complex but very fun to play. one of the best strategy games of all time for sure.

For anyone interested this game works flawlessly on Linux Ubuntu 18.04.1 Wine staging (the default wine works with it fine too). I installed it with Playonlinux. You will need to Google the HOMM3 HD patch and install it to in order for it to work properly I believe this is the case for Windows too. Too bad GOG doesnt have a list of games that run on Wine in Linux.

HoMM 3 is an absolute masterpiece, I've played it throughout my childhood and I still play it almost daily and with friends hotseat regularly. The GoG version has all the expansions which includes a random map generator that makes for literally endless fun.

To this day, I haven't played a game I enjoy more. Everyone I've introduced to this game (male or female, child, teen, or adult) has enjoyed it without fail. There is an option for hotseat multiplayer whereby up to 8 people could play the game together on the same computer, which I have used countless times. The random map generator adds infinite replayability. Game mechanics are engaging, full of depth, and straightforward to learn. Old as it is, the graphics/artwork still look great, and the music soundtrack is masterful. I can't praise this game highly enough.
