Heroes of Might and Magic®

Great game in the 90's. Amazing expirience playing it.

A certified Good Old Game. Easy start with no fiddling, runs like a dream, game's as good as I remember.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 tends to get rated lowly due to the existence of the sequels, especially 2 and 3, but the game stands on its own very well. It's a great introduction to the series, as the lack of many secondary mechanics makes the game a lot simpler to pick up than its sequels. There is still plenty of strategising and figuring things out though, and it feels really good when you successful make the right decisions. The game isn't as balanced as its sequels (although even the sequels have some extremely overpowered stuff), but you can still win no matter what your faction is. Definitely a worthwhile pick if you're looking to get into the series or already into it.

No bugs, works just fine. I recommend it to remind the good old days :D

I have read next on GOG: „ I don't know why it is still written on the page that this version uses DosBox. I have a version for Windows 95, unfortunately sometimes during the battle the games crashes and quits game and there is such a bug that you cannot press anything during the intro because it also crashes. But maybe it also results from the fact that I am from Poland and I have a Polish language version”. I have this Bug too. 10 Windows
