Beware stuck bugs, remember to save game

I did get stuck bugged twice and had to restart the game both times. The progress that was not saved was lost and I had to go again. Despite the stuck bug not being a huge issue for me the game does not auto save and that was an issue. Do remember to save manually every now and then so you don't have to go and repeat your lost progress.You do not have to go overboard with manual saving, I only got stuck two times, so do relax. You might not even encounter any bugs at all. I'm not really into Point-and-Click adventure. If you're someone unlike me and likes Point-and-Click you should definately try this one out. To be fair to the genre. This title could get 5 stars, however because of the stuck bugs mentioned above I'll leave 4 fair stars behind.

Amazing throwback!

I re-mastered "Grim Fandango Remastered " twice on my Andriod phone a few years ago, but then for some annoying reason, it was removed from Play Store, so I will be downloading it again on GOG.com. Hopefully will have a better experience using a touch-screen laptop. All in all, the remastered edition is even better than the original because of enhanced graphics and number two easier controls; simply use touch on a phone. Playing this game just took me back to my happy life childhood days :) Highly recommend (paying twice for it now to download and re-master for a third time lol!)

Great Game, Poor Remaster

The game is great in itself. Even tho some puzzles are quite puzzling to say the least. But the remaster part of it is pretty lazy. Only the character are revamped in a more define artstyle but the rest of the game has the same and exact look as the original game. I still would recommend it if you've never played the game !

Great Game but

I played this game when I was younger and can't remember if I beat it. It was hard. I have replayed it a few times since them and with the help of the internet was able to complete it. 9 or 10 on most fronts. Bugs: Now I don't remember if the same issues were in the old version but I have had several crashes and soft locked myself a few times. Just now I was in Year 4 giving an item to Glottis but because of character placement he just kept trying to walk forward to run his scene but I was standing in the way and did not move, most of the time you move out of the way. Also I had a huge issue leaving the tattoo parlor once he was on the phone. Graphics: I have seen a people say they are unhappy the cutscenes were not updated, but while I was playing recently I was impressed how the cutscenes still hold up. The backgrounds and art in general is beautiful though the character models in come scenes are dated when running original graphics. But the cutscenes and background art didn't need an update since they are still good. Also their is a big difference between creating a few hundred models and replacing them over original rigging, and rebuilding cutscenes from the ground up. Controls: Controller is nice but using a mouse reveals thing easier since the cursor changes when you hover over things. This is not the case with the controller. It is a point and click after all. Puzzles: While somethings make sense and puzzles are solved in a logical fashion you often are just using any item you have on every clickable option until something works. If you are not paying attention and going through all speech trees you will have a hard time though as hints are spread throught chats. Writing: Great. A few times if you sequence break though NPCs will have options that dont make sense or weird circular logic that doesn't make sense even in game. I am talking about Year 3 mainly but I dont want to write spoliers.
