Gothic 2 Gold Edition

G2 is imho one of the greatest games ever created. It features a extremely dense gameworld, populated by believable folks and animals that react on your actions. Animals have special behaviour and don't just seem to hang around, waiting to be killed by the player (they even hunt one another in some cases). NPCs have believable schedules (for example working during the day, go to the inn in the evening and sleep in the night), the don't forget your crimes and help you out sometimes. The story itself isn't too great in my opinion - it's rather random. But it's filled with memorable characters, a whole bunch of cool subquests and very enjoyable moments. The main quality of the game is the great mixture of free roaming - which is limited only by the brutal difficulty in combat - and density of events and content. It's not like in these other free roaming games, where you get the impression of a big world without much worth do discover in it. In G2 you'll find many hidden treasures and your explorer's lust will be rewarded kindly by the game. I strongly recommend the game to anyone who can stand against the somewhat brutal difficulty, the a bit clunky controls and the aged - but in my opinion still beautiful - graphics. If you look for a game with deep interactions, a dense and believable gameworld full of immersion, many possibilities and a lot of exploration fun - then search no longer - the island of Khorinis is awaiting you!

Whoever did this repack, messed with controls settings badly and you can't even return original controls. Keys remaping won't help eather. They completely broke action keys settings. Combat system is completely broken because of that. Grab this on on Steam instead. Steam version works flawlessly on win10/11 with originaly intended and working controls settings.
