Craving for sports games on GOG but...

Sport games are in low numbers on GOG (often due to licensing issues) so when a new one comes out, I'm always eager to try it. This game is on the arcadey-side (which in itself is not a bad thing - Sensible Soccer fan here) but: - The production value is very low (special mention for the menus). - AI is way too weak even at the biggest difficulty level so you'll play solo once to get the achievements (if you are into that) and get the basics then you'll probably never touch it again. - DLC are pure cash grabs that can be forgotten. Didn't try it yet in multiplayer but I must admit anything better than 25 years old arcade games (e.g.: Tecmo World Soccer) so it might wear out pretty quickly. TL;TR version: if you find it for cheap (5 € / $ max), you'll get 2 or 3 hours of fun.

Rozczarowujące doświadczenie

Zręcznościowa gra sportowa oferująca szybki mecz i kampanię, obie w dwóch trybach: zwykłego meczu narodowego oraz street footballu. Zawiera stosunkowo mało zawartości, AI nie należy do specjalnie doszlifowanych, a im głębiej w la, tym więcej bugów (np. piłka utykająca ponad bramką lub przy bandzie w taki sposób, że żaden z piłkrazy nie jest w stanie jej dosięgnąć - niezależnie, czy kierowanych przez gracza, czy przez AI - co kończy się restartem rozgrywki). Grałem 46 minut i już więcej nie chcę, a sam tytuł zwracam. Być może gra będzie w stanie dostarczyć nieco frajdy w lokalnym multiplayerze, ale tego nie sprawdzałem. Poleciłbym ją jedynie za niewielkie pieniądze pasjonatom albo rozrzutnym. Gra kupiona na przecenie 50% za 26.99 zł.

Would recommend

The first thing that I would suggest to everyone, is to put the difficulty on hard, as soon as they get into the game, or at least medium. By default it is easy, and that is not a challenge at all, and ruins the initial impression. Other than that, it is a fun arcade game, there is room for improvement, maybe adding a better commentary, and more strategic options in the next installment, but out of the box like this, it is decent and fun enough.

Best soccer on GOG

A refreshing take on soccer.Give it a try but dont expect FIFA or PES like game,Golazo has a style of its own.Start on Hard mode and after a few games you will get better.Its not that fast paced you can slow down return the ball try again to attack.I scored all kinds of goals.You can drible easily set up goals from tika taka style or a long ball to taking a player from defence and dribbling all opponents and scoring.But dont repeat your self.You can defend tacticaly or just smashing your opponent until you have the ball.But dont tackle in the box otherwise its a penalty.Penalties are fun and simple.The street version is fun beacuse there is no AI goalie you have to defend your self and is a smaller pitch so you really have to step it up but it is easily mastered.I like the comic style of the game.What I would recomend to the developer try adding stats,trophy collection,lose the weird painted grass,stick with shades of green and patterns of gass,highlights after the game,more replays in game and the ability to save replays,more camera angles on replay and in game,adding a store for various extras which you can then buy by playing and achieving,add custom teams players stadiums,add clubs it doest have to be originals,add Champions league format,add training,add more commentary it doesnt have to be profesionall,add more cutscenes for entrance exits goals and so on,add a free kick mini game,add a quiz.Do any of that or all and you will have a huge fan base.Overall a FUN GAME.
