Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams now includes Dream Rush, a multiplayer arena racing mode that pits up to four players against each other in local PvP, speed-running in an effort to push each other off the screen with the help of boosters and power-ups. Smash through all obstacles! Run, dash, jump, head bonk, fire cannonballs and barrages of bullets onto your opponents. Switch the level layout on the fly as you rush through dreamgates. Collect gems to fill your speed booster and use your power-ups to knock out the other players!
Delving deep into forgotten dreams, a teenage Giana seeks her lost sister. As the dreams shift, so does Giana’s mood, altering her powers. The cartoonish nightmares of her childhood amuse her now, and she mocks them, lightly twirling over ghosts and demons. On the other hand, the bright lollipop dreams she used to love so much annoy her to no end, making her want to smash things, be it a brick wall or a fuzzy little bunny. Use your skills, speed and brains to twist Giana’s dreams to your advantage and defeat the bosses that guard each realm!
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a platformer with dual personas: one cute and dainty and the other punky and cynical. Twirl your way over obstacles or dash ‘n’ bash your way through them. Fight bosses of gigantic proportions to the tune of a dual-sided retro/metal soundtrack!
A dual world that morphs at your command, affecting gameplay, graphics and music.
Features a two-sided retro/metal soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck and Machinae Supremacy.
Challenging yet fair platforming with tight controls and fast-paced gameplay.

Dlaczego warto kupować na GOG.COM?
BEZ DRM. Aktywacja ani połączenie internetowe nie są wymagane do gry.
I originally wasn't sure about this game, but after hooking up my gamepad and playing through a few levels everything pulls together really nicely.
The controls start to feel incredibly natural and even the simplest maneuvers are super fun. The level design is brilliant and they're constantly throwing in creative uses for the dimension switching mechanic.
And now half way through the game I'm suddenly seeing an influx of completely new gameplay elements that are making it even more fun o.o So I'm excited to play some more! :3 And if you're a fan of platformers you should definitely check this out.
The Great Giana Sisters on Amiga was fun and very good....with better graphics than the NES or SNES .
Twisted Dreams tops that. How can one review a platformer?
Easy if its time to go to bed but you want just a perfect last level and than you realize that its already time to go to work....well than the game works. Great graphics and a superb playability mixed with the curiosity how to get those
emeralds....well play it to find out.
Thank you GOG for this x-mas sell
I like this game a lot. Great graphic and good gameplay for a lamer like me.
A platform game de force with a lot of options that makes it good for all people, old, young good or bad player.
The game caught my interest when I learned that it was apparently a successor to a Mario clone from the 80s - a clone to the point they got sued over it - that was salvaged and turned into an actual franchise. And, unlike Mario, it actually is on PC. Still, as far as I can tell, the only thing this game has in common with the 1987 one is the name and genre.
It's not the usual genre for me, but in the end I still enjoyed my playthrough. The game took me 17 hours to finish. At first the game felt "just right" - not too hard and not too easy - but starting from the third chapter there was a huge difficulty spike and I regularly finished each level with over a hundred deaths. A particularly degenerate example was 3-9 where the part before the first checkpoint was excruciating, while the rest was quite manageable. Boss fights were quite difficult as well, and I ended up having to downgrade the difficulty for the final level. At that point I really wished there was a way to quit the game mid-level without having to backtrack everything again later.
The world swapping mechanic was really cool and implemented well. At first I had some criticism in this area, as I felt Cute Giana was just much less useful than Punk, but as the difficulty increased Cute's skill became that much more useful. Still, I think Cute could benefit from some more world interactions.
The visuals and music are pretty good, but what especially made them unique was how well they blended together when world swapping. Still, one annoying thing about it was that the game is set really quiet. I maxed out the in-game sound setting and I still had to double the volume on PC side to hear anything, which was a little of a chore.
The game has basically no plot, so don't expect anything in this regard. It's also quite safe for kids if that's something you prefer. With so many games being all edge and no point, I don't mind playing something calmer every now and then.
just amazing. do yourself a favor and buy it asap :) ! while playing I just could not stop wondering why I waited so much before buying it. everything is just perfect. grafics, sound, gameplay, everything blends into a great mix. Terrific :)
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
