You are not alone
You’re not the only entity trapped in this unfamiliar place. Encounter a cast of voiced characters and discover their own tales of survival, courage, abandonment, and redemption.
Pros: I love the art style and audio in this game. All the distinguishing sounds that Deadsuite makes when moving, jumping or shutting down...the voice acting and characters, each with their own small piece of story to unravel - it has it's charm.
Cons: More Fast Travel options would've been nice, at least one per area (traveling between save points would've made exploring much more enjoyable). Lastly, and these two things are its weakest when combined - combat and platforming. These needed more refinement and are lacking in comparison to other Metroidvania's that name them down.
A really amazing achievment for such a small studio and it could have been a really awesome game. But there are just not enough fast travel points and save points.
The fact that one has to travel so far to repair themselves is just really insulting to the player. I get that there has to be some level of consequence when you fail, but constantly backtravelling such far distances so frequently is just wasting the players time.
I also would suggest including another mode in between easy and difficult where every enemy isnt so much of a damage sponge.
some moments of this game are really fun and interesting while others just became repetitive and therefore boring after really harsh consequences from tough boss battles.
Butt still a really impressive product from such a small studio.
If you like Super Metroid you'll probably like this. Haunting, cosmic horror-y vibes, arm cannon, etc etc, music is great, combat diverse, melancholy mood. Background art and levels are great to look at , strong 7 to light 8.
