Not compatible with Windows 11

This review isn't for the game itself, since I haven't played the OG, but for the fact that it's not compatible with Windows 11. When starting up the game, I'm met with the error: 'Video not available, cannot find 'vids.IV32' decompressor, and haven't been able to get/skip past it, so I'm literally unable to play the game. I'm really appreciative for GOG for preserving these old games, but since a lot of people are on windows 10 or 11 these days, it's really important to make sure these games are compatible with modern hardware. If/once this is patched/fixed, then I'll update my review. Unless I find a workaround, to which I'll update this with instructions on how to fix this issue.

Fun & Intresting Platformer

Overall it's fun platformer game and supsringly I only recently found about this franchise. But because of that I avoided getting spoiled of this whatever can be spoiled from this game. Only for modern days it's outdated game, but still enjoyable. Like no saving, but password system which you need to find in level and I throught it's because in what time it was released orginally. And with which the life counter would return to default. Which is kinda true about the time of release but after I searched there was a version which had save option, which still you needed to find and life count would return to default. But ignore all of that, the gameplay is fun and played at least fine, like controls mostly worked fine but there and there where little hicups. It's fun game and I could see myself finishing the game but lack of saving (excluding passwords which nowadays can be found online) doesn't motivate me from completing the game from the start of the end of the game. Finding password online does opposite of motivation, maybe. At least kinda.

Great as always has been.

This game is a classic. One of the best 2d platformer game style I've ever played. I played it again now (after so many years) and it's still so funny! If you like this kind of games, but it!

Gex is a great platformer. I Like the gameplay, I like the graphics, I like the music, I like the character... I just LOVE this game!
