No problems (for me) on Windows 7
I have no problems running this game on Windows 7. I am unsure for other op systems, but I have no difficulties running this game. That aside, this is a great classic for those who enjoy the older titles that require a lot of micromanagement and organization. The interface is clunky, but its style is to be expected with this type of older titles.

A Great Classic
I played this game back when it first came out. The real challenge comes in the early stages of the game as you begin to grow your organization. After that, once you amass a small fortune, you can pretty much buy your way through the game (with a little luck on the recruitment draw). I always loved to lay waste to whole sections of the city. My most favorite approach was to blow up blocks being run by enemies. The ever-so-rare successful bombing of a police station also made for great sport. My ONE pet peeve was the economy. I worked for a crappy drug store at the time and made HUGE efforts to buy up and close every drug store in-game. However, once I bought the last drug store on the map and closed it, the game crashed. I guess they never set any catches to handle an event where every node of a certain type was eliminated.

Great old game, not for Win10 though
I played this out of a CD at Win95 and onwards. Saw it cheap here and wanted to play it again. However, it requires DirectPlay, an obsolete lib for Windows now, which will not install. This basically crashes the whole computer in terms of a lockup of the processes. Until someone pre-package this game with this lib, do not buy if you have Win8 and forward but the looks of it. Requires DirectX9 essentially. Pity because the game it self was good in the olden times.

great game, horrible port
the game itself is awesome however this version is absolutely unplayable. the menu buttons won't display text and the game lags worse than it ever did when it first came out. no mix of compatibility settings helped at all. utterly unplayable, should not even be offered in this state.
