The adventure of Gabriel Knight starts with gathering materials for his new book, and ends up becoming a fight for his very soul. You really can't say anything about this game that hasn't been said already. The writing, the story, the art, the atmosphere, the music... oh god the music... This game is just second to none. I've been obsessed with it since the 90s and I still play through it at least once a year. It's one of those games that you just HAVE to experience. The OG version is MUCH better than the remaster, at least in my opinion.
Not all Sierra games are good, but this one is. There are some old style point and click gaming in this one. That's both bad and good though as anyone who have gone through a lot of adventure games of this type. The story is good and so is most of the dialogue. It does have a certain style though and I guess you have to like that style.
I remember playing this game as a kid, looking at the clock, knowing i should be doing my homework. Seriously though if you haven't played this, DO IT, Its a master piece.
After playing GK2, I simply had to play part 1. I kind of disliked the tomb scene at the end of the game. Also, a huge hellish crevice at the finale seemed a bit too much. But most of the game really had me hooked. Liked part 2 better though ;)
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
