Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers

If you are looking for a great point-and-click title, this is it! The voice acting is surprisingly good (Tim Curry at his best, Mark Hamill...) and the New Orleans environment gives this game a great feel. You will not be able to stop playing this one.

This game is just plain awesome. Everything is beautifully made, from the backgrounds to the portraits of the different characters you talk to and the music is just beautifully made, really pulls you in. And the setting is great too, not too many games take place in New Orleans and center around ancient Voodoo curses and the like. If only Sierra could just let Jensen do a fourth game in the series, then it would feel complete.

I starting playing this game last night...first time in 17 years! Just incredible! I had forgotten the witty banter between Gabriel and Grace. ....anyone got that Sierra Hint Line number handy??? Make sure you run it as "Administrator" if you want to be able to save the game. I did not and lost an hours worth of gameplay...the funny part...I am looking forward to playing it again! .

The first installment in the Gabriel Knight series is definitely one of the best graphic adventures you will have the chance to play. Thrilling screenplay, amazing voice acting, challenging puzzles: all a lover of the genre can dream of

Despite the occasional frustration hurdle, Gabriel Knight is engaging and riveting from beginning to end. The puzzles are reasonable if not always completely logical and nothing feels unnecessary or tacked on. The plot is spot on, keeping both theme and mood constant throughout. The voice acting is some of the best with the talents of Curry, Hamil, Dorn and Cummings taking center stage. It's a game that refuses to hold you by the hand, and occasionally a leap of logic will be required. Consult the manual if your stuck and try to think logically.
