The demo delivered with a magazine fascinated me, so I bought it back in the good old times and still keep playing in Dosbox on Vista. Still as good as once and even managed to run a MP-sesssion.

Good game, but poor AI
This game sucked many hours away from my life, and I think it's aged well. Nevertheless, once the player discovers how easy it is to trick almost any opponent into a non-aggression pact with a high penalty for breaking it, then how easy it is to send a poor spy to sabotage something of theirs so they get mad enough to break the pact, thus putting eleventy hojillion credits into your account... the game loses what little challenge it ever had. It's still fun, but not difficult to win.

Never met equals
This game is just one of a kind. I've played it for months when it got released, then played it for some more months. After a couple of years picked it up again and played some more; multiplayer too! Now it once again found it's way to my PC, this time thanks to GOG. I just love all the aspects of the game; building bases, building fleets, launching missiles and fleetbattles, sending agents for some covert ops or just crash my asteroids into those of my 'allies' ghehe.

Space Sim Classic
had this game pre 2000 of course. Absolutely loved it! Still after all these years this game can capture my ethusiasm. It´s very straight forward. You build you explore you trade you wage war. Still having heaps of fun with this game. Total classic.

Clunky yet satisfying.
I played this Gremlin classic originally on the Amiga under the name K240, It was my go to sim game, having that level of control over a colony can really go to your head! This pc remake is one I didn't pick up until recently and apart from the slightly clunky placement system it's still the Gem I remember from my youth, from the trading system to the building system this game has you fighting for mineral deposits, launching devastating salvo's of missiles at your enemy, negotiating peace treaties and ad-hoc alliances or just plain flying a mined out asteroid at your competitor and laughing as they're ground to dust. it's every megalomaniacal space mining conglomerate's dream!
