Bloated size. Worse performance.

GOG Galaxy somehow still lacks the ability to disable DLC BEFORE installing a game and all of its content, therefore turning a 33 GB download into a 90+ GB download before you can disable and uninstall this DLC after the fact. This texture pack barely improves the visual quality of the game and yet it's twice the size of Fallout 4: GOTY Edition as a whole and makes the game run worse. Most highly rated texture overhaul mods are leagues better in terms of graphical fidelity as well as performance and I suggest not even adding this to your account to save yourself the hassle, as I should have done after seeing other reviews saying the same.

only claim if you plan to install

There is a bug with gog galaxy where if you claim this DLC and have Fallout 4 installed it will try and download it every time you open gog galaxy, and you will have to cancel the download each time. There is no way of making this not happen, even if you mess with settings. This DLC is 58gb, so only claim if you plan on actually installing it.

Imposible to Remove.

GOTY uses 32Gb of storage , this DLC uses 58Gb also it takes a lot of VRAM and finally it's impossible to remove. It's better to use mods with less space than this. Please GOG make a optional installation for this and way to remove it other users will make the same mistake.

I wouldn't play without it!

This texture pack is actually great, it just might not be for everyone. Firstly, new textures are hardly noticeable when you look at things from distance or if you are frantically running from the mutants. This is for people who appreciate details and take lots of screenshots. Secondly, many players prefer texture packs from Nexus over this one, which is perfectly OK, but things is, not everyone wants to mod their game. The main strength of this pack lies in it's simplicity: if you don't want to mod your game for whatever reason, you'll get better looking Fallout for free with literally one click. As for performance goes, I have zero issues with 6 GB GTX 1660 (4 GB cards users might have problems) and loading times from SSD are mostly in 15-45 seconds range so no problem there either. In conclusion I'd happily recommend this texture pack to everyone with exception of people with limited internet access (yes, it's huge) or people who are planning to heavily mod their game and are experienced with doing so.

Working

I wanted to try this "DLC" as a first time player and it works without any problems. I'm also using Nexus mods (installed with Mod Organizer 2) and they work well together. I'm playing on Intel i7 with 32GB RAM and GeForce 4070 Ti.
