Rage 1.5 is great
Rage 1.5 improves upon the original in almost every aspect while preserving it's strength. The shooting mechanics are still solid and got a flexible upgrade systems. Graphics are more varied and don't just render desert in high resolution mega textures. Settlements are not static anymore but can be managed and grow. The pointless driving around is gone, and so are many of the mini games that did not add anything whatsoever to the game. The open world now actually is open and you can explore areas and encounter missions while you are there instead of having to find the proper quest giver first. The story is a bit inconsistent though. The Authority was renamed to The Institute. And the apocalypse suddenly wass caused by some war instead of a meteor. But then, id games never were about story anyway, right? The only thing that really irks me is the fact that the game is called Fallout instead if Rage.

Originally got this game on Steam but when I heard that there was gonna be a current gen update, I double-dipped on the GOG version to preserve my modded experience. However, upon trying to transfer all of my mods from Steam to GOG, the game just kept constantly crashing and I've already tried Archost's suggestion of editing fallout.ini to add the requisite lines to [ARCHIVE] Can't seem to find information on the crashes on GOG either since most people own the game on Steam, so I can only assume that the GOG version simply cannot be modded. To those wanting to get back into FO4, the most I can tell you is to stick with the Steam version and enjoy your mods while you can before the anniversary update inevitably breaks them.

Just as bad as people say it is
Comparing no NV is pointless - the writing and even WORLDBUILDING is miles aheead in NV. Comparing to 3 - it has better equipment/weapon system. New perk tree is also awesome. But the writing got worse. If in 3 it was like Okay, it's just some backwater, in other parts of the world the world is different - the 4 answers no, it's the same everywhere. I mean 200 years have passed and everyone is living as if the bomb dropped yesterday? I would understand if they just exited the shelters, but they have been leeving like that for at least a hundred of years. And even the trees and other flora/fauna remained the same as 200 years ago - no overgrowing green lascape, everything is very barren as if the bombs dropped yesterday... Also no biodiversity in the fauna - you will not find anything new compared to F3/FNV, all samely old. The only positive thing is that after playing fallout 4 I have gained a desire to reply the Prey. just something about 2004-like game environment have given me a desire to relaxy in some immersive sim xD As for fallout 4 it's a solid 4/100 game. 1 point for equipment system, 1 point for weapon system, 1 point for the perk tree and 1 game for the game actually kinda being playable with no major glitches or crashes (of course there's a lot of minor ones, but at least the game is kinda stable which is already a lot for this dev xD) my scores: 1/5 - this "game" shouldn't exist 2/5 - I guess someone might like it, but I regret buying it. 3/5 - I had some fun with it and do not regret buying it. 4/5 - I had completed this game and/or had overall good time with it. 5/5 - It's a great game, one of the bestest of all time!
