Masterpiece

As I still had no customer experience on the site, when I purchased the game in "download offline backup game installers" mode and installed, it asked for a second disk for installation, I even refunded the game thinking that the problem would be with it in itself however, the solution is simpler than I expected. It would be just me redownloading the executable because it had been corrupted, a fact that can happen with the download of any file... Well, as soon as I discovered this possible solution, I didn't hesitate to buy again a copy of the access to the game and it's everything flowing perfectly, I love this franchise, it's a dream come true to play this title! There are several character builds to make and explore this great world.

Immersive Fallout game.

Many people have criticized this game. I think that the main reason for it, is that Fallout 3 is the immediate subsequent game of the first two in the series (that are most favored by many people) and NOT that the third part is a bad game by itself. It’s another case of a series’ game that it is judged unfairly because people can’t get over with the previous games in that series, like in Deus Ex: Invisible War. From my part, in this series I’ve played only this one and New Vegas (in this order) and I tell you I liked this one most. I especially preferred the devastation shown in the whole region (wrecked cars and trains, badly damaged buildings and roads), which really shows the result of a bomb explosion. Whereas in New Vegas the region was more like in Far West movies and couldn't depict the same result (although admittedly it had better quests). Also the devastation that I mention, and the whole immersion, for me is enhanced by the constant "grey colour" all around in the map. While in New Vegas there was much "orange" which made the game look somewhat "happier" and couldn't make me feel like I was in an immediate danger. Also, the map is big enough with many locations. Not all of them are part of quests, but you can visit them (and I did) to learn more of the world’s lore and other interesting little secrets.

game is currently unplayable

on my previous PC I was able to play the game just fine because it was older hardware, but since upgrading to my current one with the most recent intel core the game crashes on startup. the issue is it is a hardware problem and a software one.

Not bad, not great

This game was kind of hailed as one of the best games ever made when it was released, but since then it gets much more negative feedback for not being a "true fallout game". It has some strong points and weak points, but I think all in all, it is a decent game. Case in point: even though I already have it on Steam, I will also buy it here. I'm considering this game based on its own merits, any comparisons to other Fallouts will only come in the section describing aspects which can be interpreted as either good or bad. The good 1. The atmosphere. You really get that post-Great War feeling from the wasteland and its inhabitants trying to get ahead despite the grim harshness of the world. 2. The locations and characters are usually quite well made, and some really stand out - for example, in my opinion, Tranquility Lane is one of the most unique locations I've seen, especially considering its "origins". Its creator is also a one-of-a-kind character, who REALLY deserves their potential fate (not going into specifics to avoid spoilers). 3. The real-time combat enhanced by VATS is a well-working concept. The bad 1. Large part of the map feels very linear due to small overland areas being connected by subway lanes, severely restricting potential movement. 2. By the end of the game, one can have a ridiculously overpowered character even without trying because certain perks make combat totally one-sided. The decide-for-yourself 1. The story has a (for a Fallout game) unusually black-and-white morality with one side being THE good team and the other THE bad team. No ambiguity whatsoever. 2. Enemy scaling is in full swing, meaning they are ALWAYS at your level. 3. The game did take a big step in the action direction from the previous Fallout games. Personally, I think it's a very good game - for one playthrough or two, but it didn't have that "let's play this through again right now" captivating feeling for me.
