Well done but not good enough
Still messing with side quests, but fun enough to leave the main quest alone. Though I must say New Vegas is better. This was after all the first time Bethesda got their hands on the franchise. But it was well done anyway.

F03=FO1 reimagined on the east coast.
As my title alludes to, that's my view of FO3. And if you listen to how Todd talked about making FO3, that was his desire. To make "Their" Fallout 1. And to this day, I'd say Fallout 1 and Fallout 3 are by FAR, the darkest, grittiest most bleak and atmospheric entries in the franchise. I have a lot of time invested in FO3 on Steam, but might purchase here on GOG given how I've heard it runs so well "out of the box". Fallout 3 is woefully underrated by certain groups of "fans" of the Fallout franchise. Great game, and yes also a great *Fallout* game despite it being made by a different studio in Bethesda Game Studios vs. Interplay/Black Isle, and in a somewhat different sub-genre of RPGs by being a 3D, first-person/third-person Realtime open-world RPG with a tactical combat mechanic with the VATS system (Another ingenious way of keeping the roots of Fallout in place.) So, to me who is someone that is a longtime Fallout fan, Fallout 3 is great, and is mostly the sole game that put Fallout back on the map as a top of the line RPG franchise in the AAA gaming hemisphere.

I have the steam version too.
I bought this game hoping it was more modable, and playable than steam version. It is. I did have the occasional crash after modding, in the first couple hours of gameplay, but it is far more stable than the steam version. I tried modding and playing the steam version after following all the recommended tweaks, and fixes, twice, re-installed, but stil had mesh, texture errors, and crashing. I used the anti-crash mods, stutter mods, and a few other mods, on the GOG version, and it has made the game absolutely playable. Did not edit any ".ini" files. Im hours into a new game, and after a couple random crashes in the first couple hours, its been fine. Finally been able to play fallout3 without ithe gamebreaking down/crashing non-stop.

what a good surprise!
I felt nostalgic about playing this game and searched here just to see the price, when i noticed it was just R$ 11 i bought it in the spot, without even reading the deal, when i got to my library to download the game i noticed that i got arena, and daggerfall too, i felt good! i will have a blast of a time playing this games im reviewing more the deal than the games itself, but this deal is freaking awesome!!! great legendary games for the price of bananas

Good Game and worked very well
The Story of Fallout 3 certainly doesn't capture you as much as others in the franchise but it's a must if you are a Fallout fan and while the main story doesn't knock your socks off there are some really good side quests. The game also worked very well on my Windows 10 Laptop, it only crashed once, so far, which was to be expected given that I only have a normal Laptop and nothing fancy or made for gaming. I was also really surprised at how good the game looks for one of its age. Overall it's a fun gaming experience and you can spend hours discovering everything there is in the Capital Wasteland.
