Works like a charm

Installed under Windows 10 (64) and it works like a charm. Installation without problems and it runs without a hitch (for couple of hours now). Seems that GOG did a good job reviving this classic... Fallout 3 may not be the "bestest" of Fallout in old series fans eyes. But this was my first contact with the series and I enjoyed it a lot. Just this year I wanted to give it the third run and found that my original Games for Windows version is not working. Seems that GOG did a good job reviving this classic...

get the GOG version over steam

While steam may have fixed it's version to be instantly playable after download the gog version is more stable and better performing

Godo game, needs mods to make it run

This game would not start up at all for me. The only way to make it work was to install the mod "A Tale of Two Wastelands". Unfortunately, that needs you to also own Fallout New Vegas. Fortunately for me, I did - both on GOG. Once I had installed that mod, when starting up the game up I needed to start a new game and then load my save game rather than load my save game straight from the menu. After that it ran fine.

fallout 3 game of the year edition

great game played it through doing every thing two times once without the console commands and one with the console commands where i start at certain level with special skills perks which is higher then normally started but as the game progresses and i acquired more through leveling i can maximize my character with 10 in all specials 100 in all skills many perks close to 40 it was only under microsoft i played this game using windows vista i want to see them modify this game to be used for the apple imac this is my favorite game
