Underrated Classic
I got this game from a garage sale as a kid, and it's the only CRPG I played. Maybe nostalgia goggles tinting my vision, but I feel like this game should be way more known than it seems to be.

Not an under-rated game at all
Don't believe the hype of other reviews: There is a reason why you haven't heard of this game. This is a stealth squad RPG where all enemies are omniscient (if someone sees you that and all linked enemies will follow you to any point in the map regardless of whether they can see you or not), stealth kills have a 50/50 chance of working (unless your attack skill and damage is significantly more than the defense and armor of the target), enemies have mostly random patrol routes and lookout directions (so even if you creep up to target at just the right time they could always suddenly turn around and see you), all enemies run faster than you and never run out of stamina (yours will drain in a few seconds) and you're actively discouraged from working with other characters because they divide gained XP, but don't come with you from one allod to another. Besides that, the story is very weak, with twists which can be seen a mile away, the writing is juvenile and all women NPCs are written atrociously. Also, the game tends to crush a lot. On the other hand, the game does have a very detailed and compelling crafting system which allows you to create bespoke items for any occasion, your character can be developed in any direction and, if you play on the lower difficulty, the fights and missions can be quite enjoyable. Overall, this isn't a bad game, but it's nowhere near the current 4.5/5 rating. It can be enjoyable if played on the novice difficulty, but can also be incredibly frustrating and annoying. It offers many hours of content (particularly if you're playing on the "normal" difficulty), but little replayability. All in all, an average game that's well suited for hardcore RPG players, but won't attract anyone else.
