Intriguing and Frustrating
This game is charming, surreal, intriguing... and makes me want to bang my head against the wall sometimes. I enjoy puzzle games well enough. Yet it feels like when I play this there's some technique or bit of information I'm missing to solve some of the puzzles. Over time, I might eventually figure it out in some instances, though I'm currently "stuck" on one particular puzzle and have been... even so, despite this frustration, I find myself drawn back to play more and try again, try and figure out what it is I'm missing to solve the puzzle. As such, though I'd normally give such a frustrating experience a 2/5 or 3/5 (recognizing that I'm not always the best at puzzles and others might find it easier or at least be able to figure out the ways through quicker, I'm going to go ahead and give it a 4/5. The puzzles are obviously clever, and the presentation is phenomenal. The story seems intriguing, like the puzzles, for what I've seen of it, but as that is locked behind progression I cannot give a full review of it. I would not recomend it if you are looking for a casual puzzle game, but if you enjoy challenging puzzles, surreal scenery, and a slowly dripping story full of mystery... or just really like the name "roundibots", than give it a try. Just remember to not give up, and keep going "Ever Forward." (But seriously, sometimes it can help to take a break and come at a puzzle from a different angle too.)
