Unsolved technical issues

At first the mouse cursor wouldnt visibly move ingame - i managed to fix it via googling. Now the cursor moves but the game has alot of frame drops which i didnt manage to fix. These problems seem to appear in many cases. i hope they gonna patch it some day. never encountered such technical issues with a gog game before. if you are lucky and dont have any technical issues, you are gonna get a game in the style of aoe/empire earth. Its very similar to empire earth. it has less ages (stone age to copper age are missing) but therefore the individual ages have more details then in empire earth. you probably gonna like it if you are into these "old school rts" games. 2 stars cause i cant play it probably - without the technical issues it would be 5 stars

won't work

I downloaded this game into my Mac computer but onto the windows version. I have windows 10 installed on my mac and i bought and downloaded it there. I launch the game and the box that says empires dawn of the modern world pops up on my screen and the opening credits play through but when i get to the main menu screen it exits me back to my desktop, keeps playing the music, my screen resolution drops and zooms in, and there is a black box taking up more than half the screen. the game is running but I am not able to interact with it.

Interesting puzzle campaign

Oh my, I loved the voice acting in this one. I didn't expect excellent voice acting from a game that nobody remembers as it drowned in the neverending pool of RTS-games during the 2000's. I primarily played the campaigns as I am not a skirmish gamers, but what I saw was a pretty decent RTS. The campaigns definitely feel like puzzles as they hold back a lot of the full potential of the particular faction you play. A lot of their special powers are not even used in the campaign which is a bit disappointing. Also the cutscenes can be pretty long at times, causing the pace to slow down. It is not a big thing, but you definitely notice it. The thing that bothers me the most was probably the pathfinding issues. Several times did my units have problems with finding proper paths to their destination which is always a nuissance in RTS-games. Overall though, it is a fine old 2000's-RTS game which is worth playing for its interesting and slightly unsual campaigns. :)

Empire Earth clone w/drawbacks and adds.

Empire Earth was, and still is a great game. almost 25 years later.. One of my personal favorite games of all time, which I bet to having thousands of hours in playing over the last +20 years.. Empires - Down Of A Modern World is about the same game, with a few lacks and a few additions.. It's fun. But it got way to few ages, to few map sizes to choose between, to few different units, the computer AI is as bad or even worse than the computer AI in Empire Earth.. But that's okey.. I am used to it. The graphics looks a little more modern than EE. But still, this games is for me more of an Empire Earth beta version which is a cool addition to the series but nothing more. one of the coolest thing I use/used to do in EE is buying a lots of B52 atomic bombers og make the whole screen go completely white of blasting those bombs on the computer.. Hehe. In Empires - New Dawn nukes just looks really off or nothing special. The coolest and new add with this game however must be the population limit. Which can be set all the way oup to mindblowing 80 000 units! That's so cool. But i finding myself not have the need for more than the 1200 limit that's in EE. so I rather play the old gold classic EE instead of this one.

Needs to get Preservation Treatment

TLDR, it works for single palyer. But the MP is broken, and the game is only able to be played in non-widescreen modes, and lacks almsot any modern graphic setting (cant even do windowed). It really needs to be added to the GOG preservation program to get updated to work better on modern systems,
