Another Elex

I played Elex II from it was released. Apart from a super sensitive mouse issue that was fixed ln the first day I encountered no bugs during my play through. Elex II was fun to play, a bit easier than Elex I on normal setting and included many quests and places to discover. Compared to Elex I, I found Elex II to be quite similar. Some things are better in Elex II and some are better in Elex I. After getting used to the NPCs (anyone remember Mass Effect Andromeda?) I enjoyed the game. A big addition this time was the Mor(k)ons, but as I didn't particularly liked that faction they were basically non existing in the game to me. So they felt a bit like an odd addition, but if you like them then there is lots new to explore. Elex I had the advantage of being new and novel, while in Elex II you know the background (if you played Elex I). Eventhough Elex II had better technical graphics, Elex I had IMHO a better art style and feel to the graphics. Fighting was better in Elex II and some of the interactions. As I said somethings are better in each game. Given what I know today, would I still have bought the game? Absolutely. Elex I, I gave a slod 5 star. Elex II, I would give 4.5, but as that is not possible and it is not a 4 star game I rounded up to 5. Hope that helps. As to the camera they have now fixed an option in the menu for that.

Everything worse

When people say this is better than Elex 1, they must mean its release state. Elex 2 looks like Doom3. You know the horror one 2004. The amount of bugs in is... okayish. You clip through a lot of things, companion ai is like CP77 pedestrian AI on xbox1 release. Game balance is nonexistent. The higher your level the higher the enemy HP, but your damage does not increase with anything. Lvl1 you can 2shot a things with a broken stick. If you use a stormblaster on lvl20 which has about thrice the base damage and has passive skills damage on top of that, you need 20-30 shots to kill things. Meanwhile your companions do about 5 times the damage you can get whatever you use. Hopefully it will be playable in a year or two, like the first game was.

Disappointment

I really enjoyed the original Elex game. I loved all the previous games studio was responsible for, more or less I enjoyed them all. Now this abomination... When playing it on my ps5 or PC, I felt all the negative emotions I ever felt playing Piranha games ever. Like, emptiness of the world a.k.a gothic 3 had, very bad and pointless dialogs, horrible faces of npcs, bad optimization, etc. I just don't understand, how could they bring this abomination to life. Most probable I'll end the game, but I hate myself for playing it.

its ok

The game gave me a lot of problems to make it run and even then the camera was a constant pain, the map did not work so i had to gues were i was going. If the game works it has potential, but is not for me neither my pc.

MY game of the year

I'm soooo late trying out this game, but decided to grab it to see if my 4090 could overpower the flaws. I'm so glad I did because despite being a little clunky it looks and runs amazing at max settings and the gameplay reminds me of Skyrim + Defiance in setting and theme, and a little Elden Ring combat but not super overpowered. There's still mobs that can one or two shot you if you wander into the wrong area and are a brand new character though. I'm having a blast just casually doing quests and roaming and fighting small mobs and looting every little thing I find. The pacing of the game is perfect for me and there's soooo many paths to playing the game and where to put all your attribute and skill points into I can see myself enjoy several playthroughs. This will be a game I always revisit and I'm SO glad it came to GoG. I think I may have waited just the right amount of time to play this game. No it's not perfect in every way like a AAA but I guarantee you I'm enjoying it more than some AAA games as of late and catching it on the black friday sale made it a steal. Anyways, if you've got a solid card, and it's on sale, snag it!
