Multiplayer broken
If you plan to pick this up for multiplayer, save yourself hours of frustration and don't. It doesnt work.

Zniechęcony przez błędy gry
Nie przeszedłem gry do końca. po dotarciu do strefy 0 wyszedłem/zamknąłem grę. Kiedy następnym razem ją włączyłem nie znalazłem się w żadnej bezpiecznej strefie, ani tym bardziej tam gdzie ją zakończyłem ( czyli sam początek lokacji ). Jak mnie zombi dopadły to restart nastąpił w wieży ( tam gdzie jest Brecken ). Delikatny absurd, przez który nie chciało mi się kontynuować gry.

Unstable & multiplayer is unplayable
I've tried several times to play with 2 friends to no avail, every 10-15mins the game will disconnect one of us or the 3 of us simultaneously. Playing a campaign this way is too much hassle so we're waiting on a steam sale to try that platform although we suspect this has something to do with the game, since all 3 of us have strong gaming PCs but we had to lower almost all graphical options to the lowest settings to avoid frequent crashes. We'll try and if not we'll just refund it there. Even with those graphical changes, the game sometimes freezes our PCs if we switch to another app (Ex, we quickly open discord) or has weird bugs like our mouse pointer appearing, making us need to minimize and reopen the game for it to dissappear. The game is great for single-player (still crashes frequently without the graphical "optimization", but can be stabilized running it in potato settings) but it is poorly optimized and the multiplayer dependability is not there, at all. Since we're central-american and the nearest GOG is in Canada (as far as I can tell googling), I'll update this review by 2025 letting you know if maybe being connected to an unstable server was causing everything including the crashes, could be because even when I played singleplayer I still had the online availability open, meaning other random players could've connected.

Contrived, annoying and boring...
The plot is both predictable and contrived and you play the role of someone who's purpose is to make everything worse for everyone. Also the weapons are terrible and unsatisfying and the mandatory crafting isn't particularly compelling. The gameplay is also frustrating, especially because it's too obvious that things happen because of reasons like "here the should be some tension so trigger a boss fight" instead of organically, like, I can accept that the writing team would want to stick to what works but it's far too predictable. The weapons are especially terrible and the main character has no stamina at all, as a hardened mercenary, this is worrying. Another thing that the game does too obviously because it was done in Dead Island (a much better game). The plot really is grating. It's rapidly obvious that a lot of the problems in the game could be fixed with some lateral thinking, but you're cutscened into making the very worst possible decisions over and over just so the game can go "oh no, time for some 'tough choices'".

Good game, but very glitchy.
Its an interesting game, but the fact of the matter is that it crashed like crazy.
