Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

In my opinion it doesn't even come close to Baldur's Gate 2, but in terms of modern RPGs it's a great game. RPG friends should definitely try it.

Dragon Age Origins is a great game and I will never play it again. The amount of crashing that occures in this game is so obnoxious that I uninstalled and I will never install it again. I applied a patch that should fix this issue but to no avail. This game has been done a major disservice as these kind of issues have still not been fixed all these years. I do not reccomend anyone to buy this, not even on sale. Broken games should get fixed or removed from the store. Period.

The game starts well but is needlessly long and lacking in variety. The combat isn't awful but judging by the slew of enemies you have to chew through the designers thought it was a lot better and the while the characters are fun the RPG elements tend to be quite shallow. The game lets you choose what areas to explore first but the areas themselves tend to be very linear and the only way the difficulty varies is by throwing higher level versions of the same enemies at you in increasingly annoying unavoidable ambushes. Also on my computer the game tends to crash when I do something to surprise it like kiting all the enemies from one of those ambushes back to town. If you're looking for a dungeon crawling time-sink with modern-ish graphics then I'd recommend it. Otherwise the RPG selection on GOG is so deep it's quite hard to justify this option.

I got plenty of hard crashes and now my save file are corrupt/game refuses to load, i play without any mods and still got alot of visual bugs in-game, like texture flashing. The gameplay feels like 80% talking with npc's and 20% of clunky combat.

It's horrible. It's crashing ALL the time. It's so horrible to play. I played it on other platform at a friend and never happend a thing like this. I choose to buy it from here, cause i liked the offer for it, but it's definitely NOT worth it. I deeply dislike that is always crashing and i have to save from 5 to 5 seconds so i don't lose my progess.
