Tim Burton-esque

No hand-holding, no help desk, no idea what to do next...except to survive. This game will test your character's sanity, endurance, speed, and luck just as it will test your common sense, decisions, and the flexibility of your thinking. I have played for a week or so now and am still finding new ways to approach problems; magic, science, or a combination of both. Planning around a farming life, constructing apiaries, and hunting wild Beefalo. Shall I play with madness or scrupulously avoid those things which bend reality and shatter my mind. It is all up to you. Survive or don't, the game doesn't care.

A good challenge at a good price

I continue to be surprised and amazed that the more I play this game - the more new things I discover. Really didn't expect much out of this game since my favs are rpgs but this game has kept me captivated for over 3 weeks now. Just reached level 4 of 5 in Adventure mode today. If you enjoy a good challenge then you should appreciate this game. And yes this game can be addictive. :)

Great Game

I was curious about Don't Starve but skeptical about how well it was executed. Now I know: it's an excellent game with some of the best rogue-like qualities and a huge amount of character. The crafting system is well-thought out and fairly deep. There are a lot of surprises in terms of both crafting, item interaction, and creature interaction. It's challenging, rewarding, and fun. And the game has tons of charm that we rarely see from the big publishers. It's a great game, one of my top 5 for the last few years.

A really good survival game

I actually love this game. It has some nice atmosphere and also nice game mechanics with love to the detail. For example the sanity meter. The longer you stay in dark areas or thelikes the sanity of your character drops. At the beginning you start to see strange things just at the edge of your view. And the further the sanity loweres the more of the strange figures you see and the detaileter their forms will be. This goes on until they stay all the time and may be fought. I also have a question. I have bought the game through humble to get my steamkey. Is there any way to unlock it here, by entering the key or something similair?

Perfect game!!!

i was waiting for so long for a great game like this one. i used to play UnReal World and still do. supported them for as much as i could...and will support this one from now on. perfect game if you like sandbox/survival games. don't judge this game by the screens. i did, and wasn't sure. but its after i started playing it, i realized how great this game is. Thank you GOG for this game...and all the others...and everything you guys do. i only buy games from you guys....for many reasons. Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! :)
